To be fair the time taken from MGW getting his injury to getting Dominguez on and taking our free kick was utterly ridiculous. We still had 11 on the pitch at that time, think play stopped for around 8 mins. Dominguez didn’t even bother getting stripped.
We would have been fuming if an opponent did that to us, to be fair many have down the years but really, truthfully it wasnt acceptable.

This will be a dogfight. They play a similar brand of football with a more tactically astute manager and probably better players. We can win it and it’s one to really get stuck into as supporters.

Ricardo is a top class player and certainly could / should play in the starting XI. But if he does so, he should be in one of the double pivot positions and come in for Ndidi, who could move up and play as a CAM instead of El-Khanouss. The reason we won the Saints game is we went back to the system that worked in the Championship, a 5 man attack with 2 wingers. NOT two fullbacks.

It certainly was interesting going to a back 3 and having Mav, Fatawu, Buonano and El-Khanouss all playing at the same time.

This game will determine where Cooper's allegiance truly lies.

Fraser was sent off at 73 minutes, we made the change at 60. So we got the two goals whilst both teams were even, more or less.
Playing 2 fullbacks on paper seems stronger defensively, but the way Cooper plays, it isn’t. In fact I’d argue it’s even more susceptible on transition because the raiding full back will be up too high and lead to the frequent 2v1s that JJ has to face. So we end up with a weaker attack and a weaker defence.
If we played more of a traditional 4231 like Puel or Rodgers in his second full season then I’d buy the better defensive stability argument. In fact there’s a lot of good arguments for going that way; Everton are churning out results playing that way. If that’s the suggestion for the system to play, it’s a good discussion to have.
The reality is that Cooper has tried to replicate Enzo’s system but didn’t understand how it worked. And that’s why it hasn’t worked all season long. Enzo’s system also had flaws but it was proven today that it’s way better than Cooper’s system.

I think that paints a good enough picture! Lots of wrist slitting. In our first season back we got no higher then they are now for the whole season and last year we were pretty similar to where they are for a large portion. I guess that’s what 1 league title out of the blue and a cup win does to a fan base

I think Steve may have underestimated how hard it'd be to win over the Leicester fans. Most of those seemed to have made up their minds before he started.
Sadly not convinced he'll be there by the time of the rematch.
