Regardless of the rules, Wood flying to the other side of the globe not 100% fit to play two international games is an absolute failure by someone at the club.

I agree it's an opinion that's not entirely logical but my point is that Cooper's thrown all his eggs in one basket in Brennan when there have been lengthy spells of poor/ineffective performances from the lad. Had similar time been invested in other players then we might be stronger on balance at this time as a whole.

I vaguely get your point, pretty speculative though. Plus if you don't play Brennan he doesn't reach the level he reached pre injury which was a big part in victories against Southampton, Leicester and Leeds. Would Dennis really have reached the same level to offset that? Seems unlikely to me

That's because it wasn't season ending when he was given permission to go there which he should never had been given.

If it wasn't season ending and he was fit to travel then nothing we can do and was just bad luck if it got irritated with NZ. If it was then it's bad it wasn't diagnosed sooner. The system with internationals and injuries isn't great as you have conflicting priorities. However, those are the rules. He was not given permission, the rules say he is automatically allowed to go. If anything he'd need permission to stay back.

Come on Wassy there is plenty we can do, look at Johnno for example.

Woods missed the last game because he was injured (besides being ineligible) so we had every right to keep him in Nottingham.

It's very naive to think otherwise.
