Scott McKenna has been brilliant for us. Just been crap either he or Worrall seem to be injured when the other is fit.
We're going to need them for 40 games together this season to stay up.

That looks a decent starting 11 to me. I also agree we are well equipped to go three at the back. We are though very reliant on Grabban for goals and finding his form of a couple of years ago. I hope he does but I am not convinced.

Another load off the wage bill next summer, plus loans from this season being off.
I reckon that’s another 160k a week / 8m off the wage bill (incl the 5 loanees)
That will make us a sustainable club for the first time I can remember, and mean any player sold will be able to be re-invested rather than for FFP reasons

That is a huge saving and really puts the club in a much stronger position.
It explains why they did not have to sell any prize assets.
I cannot believe some of those from last season took their wage guilt free, Hefele and Blackett especially.

Astonishing. When you see it like that.
You can see how Football clubs bleed dry into debt. Especially when clubs on 'weaker' budgets than Forest finished much higher. Forest just weren't getting bang for buck. So much wastage on players who weren't playing for Forest sat on good money for old rope.
When you can effectively replace players for 100% less money and not be any weaker then you know your recruitment has been poor.

There is about another 160k to come off next summer as well.
In 12 months time I think we will be fairly sustainable which is a good thing of course, as we won’t need to sell anyone.
We really will have to get it right from next summer, hopefully still as a Championship club.

Let’s hope and pray this squad is able to get us out of the hole we are in. Personally. I am not sure it is but will be backing the team 100%. I agree with most posters that we have decent keepers and central defenders. The full back situation worries me. Drager was 3rd choice at Olympiacasis and Lowe fifth choice at Sheffield Utd. Spence is younger than Gabriel and looks a decent prospect but it makes you wonder why Boro have let him go to a rival. Back is 18 and will be a fine player but not this season. Bong and Richardson are not good enough. In midfield we have Garner who is class but Yates is limited, Colback past it and too slow. Odega sounds decent but we should not be pinning our hopes upon him. Very few of us have seen him play. It remains to be seen how he will adapt to the championship. He is a bit of a gamble. Cav does not contribute. Johnson has hardly played in the championship and it remains to be seen how good he is. Zinc is class but probably gone by January. Mighten not really lit the division. Silva will most likely end up in the bomb squad and the two strikers do not look like they are any longer up to the job. I am worried.

I can certainly understand your reservations.
