It’s sour grapes.
Watson, Worrall & Dawson have amassed the grand total of 3 yellows between them so far.
Hardly a sign of a dirty team.

Sour grapes and jealousy.  They wouldn't complain if they won 3-2.

Forest aren't dirty but they are more canny and robust.  They are also showing a bit more discipline than last year.

Watson, Worrall and Dawson making up a good spine to the team.  A team that showed good character to come back against a Stoke side that perhaps aren't as bad as the league position shows.

Maybe we are more professional and streetwise than what we used to be but we are not a dity team, no way.

True.

Bullied us, had quality when it was needed but after getting ahead they sat on the game, and went away with a win. It was a thoroughly professional performance.  I think an approach like that, which I've seen we're beginning to develop, comes across to partisan fans as being 'dirty'.

Other teams have got away with it and ended up in the Premier.  See Cardiff, Villa etc.

Forest have been 'too nice' for too long and been outmuscled, bullied and out niggled and out promoted to the Premier by many 'so-so' smaller clubs with 'a plan.'

The Championship is what it is.  You have to be robust, play a bit and 'play the game.'

'Being Professional.'  (And all that.)

Clough sides could handle themselves.  Burns.  Lloyd.  Gemmil.  'Just lean into him a bit...'

I agree apart from Sow! (Which you’d expect) Samba’s antics don’t exactly appeal to a widely audience either. Doesn’t feel like we’re an eminently dirty team though. No more than anyone else

Our disciplinary record last season was bad but this season we are much improved in that department.

I am also scratching my head why opposition fans think that we are a dirty team.

Probably it's key moments in the game when they are chasing a point or a win that we foul them.
We are normally defending, don't close out games in the opponents half.
All the more memorable.

We can be a bit cynical but there is nothing wrong with that.

RE: Opposition Fans Comments Pre Match & Post Match - Duncan Mckenzie - 02-10-2019

Some post match comments from the Blackburn fans:

Forrest have been useless this league is there for the taking but our boring ass manager wont let us go for it aaaargh.

Two very winnable games, 1 point, f**k off mowbray you dinosaur.

That was a frustrating 90 minutes. The 3 points were there for the taking.

For the second game in a row, we have seen a robbery at ewood park. No idea how Luton took three points off us and no idea how Forest have gone away with a point. Completely dominated both games.

Of course it was a winnable game. They were completely bang average.

1 point from 6 at home = shite.

If only we had a top class striker, we’d then be very firm favourites for a top 6 slot. Gallagher doesn’t look the answer on any level.

Sam Gallagher is absolute shite, and another example of big money poured down the drain.

Holtby was the only decent thing on another poor night, in a game we should have won with ease, versus a side who turned up uninterested, who had only one shot.

Surprised none of them moaning we totally ripped them off by selling them Ben Brereton for so much money....they really lost on that one.

Looks like the entitled Blackburn Rovers fans think a lot of themselves.

Who are they calling 'bang average'..? They're not storming the league themselves and sit averagely in the table? 'Bang Average,' then?

Their Jack Walker revolution days seem far behind them..?
