Always hate the trips to Selhurst Park, I’ve just seen someone on Twitter say it’s the best away day in the Premier League but it’s a god awful place to get to, the facilities are worse than some we had in League One and the less said about the view the better.
That said, it feels like I was at a different match to some, I thought we played very well to be honest, and the chances missed by Wood and Elanga were guilt edged.
I have to hold my hands up and say that I thought Sangare played well, he definitely moved the ball quicker than what I had been accustomed to and hopefully get sharper with more minutes albeit I do question his footballing brain at times, when on a yellow card he dived in and got nowhere near the ball and thankfully missed the player, then body checked Eze not long after.
I also don’t get the hate for Sosa, someone seriously gave him 1/10 above. What the f**k is that about? He was attempting to be positive every time the ball was played forward but with them watering the pitch heavily before kick off the ball just wouldn’t allow anyone to dribble at speed. I hope he gets a few more opportunities before the season ends.
A point is normally a decent result at Selhurst but will be meaningless unless we get all three against Lesta.
One final point, the referee, what an absolute dog shit performance from him.

It was the same v Brentford. The ref's manoeuver themselves into a position where they have to show a yellow for every single foul. When you get a really competitive game (comepetitive not dirty), you end up with a masive amount of yellows as the game gets stretched at the end.

They switched Sosa to the right and nobody bothered trying to pass to him. He cannot do anything if he doesn't get the ball. I still think there is a player in there. As for Sangare. He was tidy but slow and he always played the safe pass when it was screaming for a swtich of play (especially when Aina found himself further forward with no marker). I thought he was alright but slow. Wasn'r horrible but wasn't great either. I guess tidy is the way to put it. We seem to have slowed down somewhat going forward. At least the Serbinator kept Mateta quiet so that was good. We seemed gassed at the end of the second half when we really needed to be pushng. Wood wasn't getting any joy with decisions and if Taiwo came on he would cause chaos no doubt nut probably would end up with a yellow due to the ref who was totally card happy.
1-1 is okay but our lack of energy at the end of games is starting to tell. Fester is a must win. I think a Stevie Cooper appreciation day is in order this weekend just to piss them off.
Aggression definitely needed against our rivals. They have such a leaky defence Woody should get his 20th.

The use of Sosa and Jota seems totally random, both seem to be used as a last resort as if Nuno would prefer to bring on neither and little consistency as to who comes on in a given situation. Neither have really done much when given the chance, admittedly difficult to do much if we spend the last 15 minutes in our own area.
