I don’t think it’s far off though; for me the main issue with sels is his lack of dominance in the area, currently papered over by Milenkovic’s form, but it is a clear deficiency.
Thing with Sels is the stats show he doesn’t out perform his expected goals against from a stats perspective.
50% of GK’s in the league will do that.
IMO Miguel saves both goals yesterday. It’s just whether Nuno thinks he is ready mentally to play.
Once you make the change it then wouldn’t help anybody to change it back again.

And Wood certainly made his feelings clear about that. Particularly as he'd ran his bollocks off to block a cross in the left back position just before.
I'm actually interested to see what we look like without MGW. He could do with a kick up the arse for me.

Yep agreed, although he was blaming Wood I think, not sure why!

Yeah I think the likely issue is that Miguel is still the safer option.
Can we land someone better in January? Tough to sign a starting keeper in that window.

We were pretty battered during the second half at one point.
Was a weird game really, felt like we were comfortable for 40 mins without creating any chances aside from the penalty. Conceded twice, looked like we'd get thrashed for the early point of the second half then scored again on the break and suddenly was pretty even again.
So not sure what to make of it? Are we good? Was that just another scrappy draw where we were up against it like in the first year against Brighton?

We are competitive in every game. Can argue we rode our luck to get 4 points from 2 very hard away games but can also argue we didn’t get the run of the green or whatever deserved in our home games so far. I think we will need to improve our home form but so far so very good…

If we can continue to dig in and grind out results away like we have done against good teams then we are a good side.
What will, however, make a big difference is home form. 2 wins at the city ground in 2024 is a worrying trend and we really could do with getting back to winning ways this weekend

However, the panel disagreed with second caution for Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White in their 2-2 draw at Brighton & Hove Albion. Gibbs-White was sent off by referee Rob Jones on the advice of fourth official Anthony Taylor and other members of the on-field team. On a split 3-2 vote, the KMI Panel said that "it's a strong challenge made at full speed but below the threshold for a second caution," with the opposing view being that "the intensity of the challenge is too high and it's a reckless tackle showing disregard to the consequences for the opponent."
