RE: Brentford - Nottingham Forest - JWJW - 30-04-2023 Looks like the owner agrees with us who said it was poor subs and game management that threw it away.......... Nottingham Forest owner Marinakis furious at latest abysmal defeat ...............Though Marinakis is highly unlikely to dismiss at Cooper at such a critical stage of the season, he was seething with the head coach’s substitutions and his management of the squad.......................... RE: Brentford - Nottingham Forest - Marco Polo - 30-04-2023 Football can be very cruel Hey guess what - we very very nearly beat one of the best teams at home, they’ve only lost 2 all season We beat brighton - one of the best away teams We had a good go at liverpool We’re not dead yet If we can field 11 players RE: Brentford - Nottingham Forest - Plymouth red - 30-04-2023 (30-04-2023, 07:20 AM)Marco Polo Wrote: Football can be very cruel Still a sickened - and still depressed by how close we came. Ultimately still we're alive but for how long. Hopefully leicester- Everton will draw and leeds lose. Wins for Leicester and Leeds and the events of yesterday might make the situation terminal. And we've got to beat Southampton. RE: Brentford - Nottingham Forest - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 30-04-2023 Lets stop blaming VAR for losing yesterday. He was onside, Yates left boot clearly playing him on. Lets remember that arms and hands are not considered. It was the correct decision.

I have read the article and the quotes from Marinakis. Nowhere does it say he was seething about the subs. It also implies he called it an abysmal defeat which he doesn’t. He was complementary about the togetherness of the team. Very poorly written Thanks for the red highlights to make your point by the way. Notice you didn’t use red to discuss the superb win on Wednesday. RE: Brentford - Nottingham Forest - Paplane - 30-04-2023 Percy is now the conduit for these kinds of messages from Marinakis. While there's no direct quotes, clearly the big man wants us to know he's not happy. Should he have taken Danilo off because he should have read a horoscope that said he would do his hamstring? By the way pretty common to use all 3 subs by 80 mins, most managers do it. Occasions he hasn’t people on here blame him for not using subs or not giving player x enough time. RE: Brentford - Nottingham Forest - Paplane - 30-04-2023 I think its more to do with the perceived defensive move of taking off Brennan and Awoniyi. I didnt see a lot wrong with those subs really, especially Awoniyi, who's vitally important for us now. If he gets injured again we're back to square one and its curtains. Could perhaps argue he should've waited to take Awoniyi off so that he could take him and Brennan off at the same time? If Taiwo was struggling though then it made sense at that moment. It does feel like perhaps this was the game we will look back on though. RE: Brentford - Nottingham Forest - Username - 30-04-2023 Blimey, feels like a fair few were wanking furiously over the fact we lost. Way to many getting over excited after the win against Brighton thinking we could just turn up against Brentford and win. This is the Premier League. This was a Brentford team that had lost just once at home in their last night games. A point would have been an incredible achievement. A loss is hard to take, especially due to the manner in which it happened. For me Navas should have done better with both goals but he has made plenty of vital* saves this season. The big game is next Monday, nothing less than a win will suffice (but any other result doesn’t mean the season is over either) *apologies for the use of the word vital RE: Brentford - Nottingham Forest - zicorice - 30-04-2023 (29-04-2023, 04:59 PM)JWJW Wrote: Its poor game management from Cooper. And there he is....... How did Cooper not manage the game you absolute tool? (Sorry sniff for outburst but....) If we don't make a mess of the wall, freekick etc, I doubt Brentford score at all. Should Cooper have run on and put himself in the wall? Oh I know bad coaching he obviously told players to jump out of the way. Take the game for what it was. A very lucky win for Brentford. |
