I was reading up on the italian side Como yesterday. They have a similar story. Nothing club in the lower leagues going nowhere bankrolled by billionaires up to the top league and into Europe. I hate them too now.

Its a funny one isnt it as you have the likes of Leipzig who are now well supported having been in a similar situation. Como is slightly different because of where it is being a millionaire's playground.
Is this investment bad?
After all could someone say the same about Marinakis or the Saudi Groups at City / Newcastle etc. How many fans do you have to have to be allowed to progress?

In my book any investment which pumps up a club to the extent that they are clearly operating outside of their natural level, such as Bournemouth and Como, is bad. Lincoln City I believe are also currently being funded by a Rich American and (without knowing much about their situation) I don't like the sound of that either.
Where are the likes of Wigan, Reading and Blackpool now that their once ambitious owners have drunk the premier league kool-aid and pissed off? Those clubs displaced clubs like ours and dare I say it Derby and Leicester out of the premier league, three clubs who have a tradition of spending long periods in the top league. You could add West Brom, the Sheffield clubs and Middlesborough to that list too off the top of my head. I'm sure there are many more.
Leipzig I know little about, but I'm guessing it's a fairly well populated city, so probably passes my sniff test? But Bournemouth and Como, definitely not! They're just there because those areas are attractive places to unbelievably wealthy individuals. Those clubs are nothing but play things to those types of people. Chelsea's the same. If they weren't in the most wealthy part of London, no way would they be a 'top 6 club'. In and out of the premier league perhaps, just like us, not up there year on year challenging for honours.
