Johnson 'unlikely' to take part vs. Newcastle according to Cooper.

Hence me putting 'unlikely' in inverted commas.....

I've not watched it but Niakhate has put a video on his YouTube channel about his recovery.

It must be a bloody long video.

Ha! Just watched it - very interesting actually - gives an insight into the recovery process that we don't usually get to see. Though the French rap music is a bit pants.

So Kouyate has been allowed to go and join up and train with Senegal despite NOT being called up.

Surely he would be better off staying here and training and getting ready for a first team return.

Looks another strange and questionable decision in my book.

Specially after what happened with Niakhate.

RE: Injuries And Suspensions - Salvatore Matrecano - 21-03-2023

Seeing as it was allegedly the Senegal physios that made his injury worse.

I’m not protecting Cooper here but was this his decision? I agree it is a questionable one though.

I am only guessing but I would imagine it was yes.

Looks like SC is not the strong manager I thought he was, nice bloke but a bit soft on players? I am sure that any of the top managers would NOT allow a potential key player who has been out injured for some time and has yet to return to full 1st team training to go aboard and train with his international team mates. If I recall, was the original injury a result of the lapse medical team during the world cup? Very strange from Forest and if he comes back again injured then there are going to be a large amount of very annoyed supporters.

No news about Brennan pulling out of the Wales squad either.
