RE: Swansea City - Nottingham Forest - JWJW - 12-12-2021 Decent 2nd half performance. Spence really is a key part of our current form and we dont have anyone who can replace what he offers. It is a must that we do everything possible to keep him, including paying a big fee for him to sign on a perm if needed in January. What sort of magic have you performed here SA? RE: Swansea City - Nottingham Forest - Marinakis Red - 12-12-2021 Hands up then, who thought BJ should of been droped/rested for yesterdays game? I was one. He was terrific, he had the Swansea back line on toast. He needs a pen in his hand and quick. Like how patted the badge after scoring. Him and Spence on the right is devastating. Hate the thought come Jan that will be the last we see of it. Agreed. Hopefully Murphy has got a good enough plan so there isn't too much disruption. 3.5m for sale of Brereton might be enough to give BJ bigger wages so they can do away with this 8m release fee. If not get him sold and try and keep Woz till the summer. If BJ is happy to sign then reluctantly taking a decent fee for Woz might not be so bad. Test Boros resolve for purchase of Spence. I'd go in for John Swift, not an urgent position yo fill but an injury or two could change that. Leaning towards Lowe not being recalled. Buchanan, Souttar and a mystery striker. Can see us getting a decent one now that we are challenging. Well done Coops and everyone accocitated with the club. The turnaround has been somewhat of a miracle RE: Swansea City - Nottingham Forest - Joe Baker Legend - 12-12-2021 Anybody know who was the Forest official MOTM v Swansea? Just glad he got through it unscathed. He's a top player when fit and he seems like the type who would thrive under Cooper. Thought it was interesting reading the Swansea fan comments, if you could get past the moaning when they mentioned Forest all the comments were that they couldn’t cope with our speed down the right wing. Its so obvious this is a huge percentage of our attacking threat, to lose one or both of these players in January would have a huge impact on our season. I remain quite confident both will stay. Spence seems very happy here and is playing regularly, why wouod he want to return to a club clearly going nowhere and where he might not even make the team. I reckon there is a deal to be done, I doubt we can pay a big fee though. As for Brennan if we keep this form up the club arent stupid, if they think there is a good chance of a top 6 finish it would be mad to sell now, new contract or not. RE: Swansea City - Nottingham Forest - wassy04 - 12-12-2021 What formation did we play yesterday? I heard the commentators mention Yates played deeper than normal so was he a CB? RE: Swansea City - Nottingham Forest - Salvatore Matrecano - 12-12-2021 It was quite hard to work the formation out actually. Yates was definitely in defence but didnt really play the Figs role of man marking their target man, he was still linking midfield. Both full backs given licence to go upfield particularly Spence who was at his storming best. But mention to Jordi who looked rusty as hell at times but stuck with it, he looks to have a decent touch on the ball and set up the 3rd, OK it was a ridiculously weak shot that the keeper messed up but he was having a go. I do wonder if there is something in Yates being part of a back 3 though, particularly if Worrall was to leave is that a solution? He has all the attributes to be good there and is a proper leader. Leaves space for Colback and Garner to anchor the midfield. There is a logic in it. |
