RE: Potential New CEO? - Jon Moss - 17-06-2021 All very interesting July looks like being a month to look forward to. RE: Potential New CEO? - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 18-06-2021 Looks like Barnsley manager Valerien Ismail is going to West Brom. Interesting that West Brom also lost their CEO a few days ago. RE: Potential New CEO? - Salvatore Matrecano - 18-06-2021 Just reading about that Sniff, apparently Dowling had originally blocked Ismail as he thought style of play was too direct. The thought did occur if West Brom need a new CEO then they could hijack the Murphy deal and get them both. And Mowatt as well :D RE: Potential New CEO? - Sausage Roll - 18-06-2021 Dowling was Sporting Director at WBA rather than their CEO I thought. RE: Potential New CEO? - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 18-06-2021 Ah good point SR. Indeed he was. We don't half talk some shyte on here :D RE: Potential New CEO? - Salvatore Matrecano - 18-06-2021 There is a good point here about where you would go if you were an ambitious CEO like Murphy. The name of the role is irrelevant, were he to move to West Brom he would effectively be running the show. However have a look at their Chinese owner who has just appointed his own CEO both of who look to have zero football knowledge, its not always easy to get stuff done with that environment. Remember Fawaz questioning why we couldnt play with footballs bought from Asda? Not saying their owners are anything like that hopeless but you get the idea. Now to most outsiders unfortunately Forest are viewed as a basket case simply because of our turnover but a very small amount of insight reveals an ambitious owner with huge amounts of football experience and who will do what it takes to make the club successful. Looking at the 2 clubs and the behind the scenes set up I would probably pick Forest. RE: Potential New CEO? - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 18-06-2021 You are lucky SM. Here in Greece it don't start until 10pm and it's too bloody hot. RE: Potential New CEO? - Marinakis Red - 19-06-2021 Still hoping we get Murphy in. We completely change the dynamic of how our football club is operating. A new dawn. |
