RE: Diogo Goncalves & Joao Carvalho - Brucey - 14-06-2018 I’m told old to buy a shirt anyway but reminds me of the Shippos one. Can’t decide if I like it or not though either way the little lad will be getting one! RE: Diogo Goncalves & Joao Carvalho - Widdow - 14-06-2018 Been waiting for these guys to sign to make my first post Pleased to see them in the shirt at last after all this talk (although don’t know what to make of the shirt) of people mention doing the same as wolves. Just hope this all pays off as too many times forest get excited. Yes Wolves did it with Neves but he has played nearly 59 times for Porto and captained them (including playing champions league) and he had played for Portugal. Jota played 41 times and athletico Madrid signed him on back of that. These lads have played 7 times. May be highly rated but will take time to settle. Even took Ronaldo and Nani loads of time to settle in when the signed for Man U and they could end like Bebe. (Remember him?) Then again if they do settle quickly and do well then that transfer could be doubled for any club wanting to buy them. So as I said. Expensive gamble we shall see if it pays off. With Mendes financially involved at Wolves I can’t help thinking of these players were really top draw then they would be at Wolves. Just as long as the club are prepared to pay similar to get a top proven striker or two. A left back. New keeper and another right back. Still loads of work to do and a lot of deadwood to get rid of (which is easier said than done) But hey Dawson and the 3 Portuguese is a promising start. COYR RE: Diogo Goncalves & Joao Carvalho - Brucey - 14-06-2018 Top post widdow, this will count for nothing unless we have someone (or two) to put away the chances and tighten up at the back with full backs and a keeper. I’m expecting that to happen though. RE: Diogo Goncalves & Joao Carvalho - BadDog - 14-06-2018 We wouldn't spend this kind of money on players to supply the frontline without really spending on the frontline/strikers. It will happen just enjoy the ride and let's see who we get in, this is going to be the most exciting season in a very long time! I thought exact same RE: Diogo Goncalves & Joao Carvalho - King Joe - 14-06-2018 Well that's the under 23's sorted now for the first team. :D :D :D RE: Diogo Goncalves & Joao Carvalho - the jock - 14-06-2018 Replying to @NFFC and @SLBenfica Let them show the great potential they have.. Support them and you wont regreat @NFFC Diogo scores great goals coming from the line to the center and Carvalho is a football genius who needs to feel confidence from their staff and supporters.. Are both a very talented players. Carvalho is a playmaker with amazing pass an dribling, Gonçalves is a winger fast with good pass and a very stong kick and finish. With time both can be star players RE: Diogo Goncalves & Joao Carvalho - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 15-06-2018 Fawaz and His cronies have gone very quiet. W*****s. RE: Diogo Goncalves & Joao Carvalho - Strawberry Avenger - 15-06-2018 On and off the pitch, the new owners are schooling previous owners on ambition, on how to run a football club, how to put together a top class executive team to run the club professionally, culled a largely mediocre squad of 'pony riders' from the squad in January, vastly improved recruitment and the personal to attract that talent and 'monitor checks' between the board and the manager (Metgod, was an intriguing recruit...) attracted ten quality players who were a step above what Forest had in January, how to attract record breaking season ticket sales, record breaking sponsorship, attracting record breaking talent by smashing the Forest transfer record, attracting a top class manager to build a quality team, brick by brick. No trumpet blowing. Quietly getting on with the job. A sign that the people who are now running the club know what they are doing and that the Forest legacy...is in safe hands. ...and the City Ground has had a coat of paint. It looked a dirty, mossy, rusty and faded paint mess under previous owners. It's night and day. Ancient History and History in the Making. Ironic that I watched 'I believe in Miracles' the other day (with a pint of Guiness no less and an XXXL sized marshmallow...) and that's my Forest, the one I remember. But our current leadership on and off the pitch augers well for the future. Signing the Portuguese lads was a massive keystone of intent for this season. SA.
