I dont see any more clean sheets with Hef/Robinson and BenO at LB.

This could be our season fading away now.

Pap is a good lad mate. He is just feeling disappointed with Dawson's injury as we all are.
Yes we are all dissapointed with the injury to Dawson but I can't see us being doomed with the defense,
More like Karanka will adapt and with the great support and supporters behind the team, I believe the defense will prevail with more clean sheets and the season will go on from strength to strength.. :P

RE: The Injury List - Spangles - 02-12-2018

Maybe we should look at a loan for a CB in January . We've been far better with Dawson in the side and it'll be gutting if he's out for months rather than weeks.
Hefele doesn't look good enough from what he's shown so far and Fox will always find it hard against anyone with real physical presence ( Tom Elliot Millwall springs to mind) .

RE: The Injury List - zicorice - 02-12-2018

Fox back soonish. Fig has 2 more games. No need to panic. I also think the way we are now playing, people are underestimating Bennys qualities. OK the diagonal ball in the air will cause some problems from time to time, but Benny is very comfortable on the ball and can deliver good quality into the box going forward. I am more worried (through a lack of knowledge of seeing him play there) about Robinson at CB. Not running Robinson down, but he wasnt exactly Psychoesque against Villa at both ends of the pitch.

Wonder if there are any 'out of contract' CBs knocking about!!

RE: The Injury List - ThePromisedLand - 02-12-2018

James Collins - been training with Villa so should be reasonably fit.

Funnily enough, I think Villa have offered him a 5 week contract (true).

Not saying he’s the answer but a deal to the end of the season wouldn’t break the bank.

I think we can cope with what we have.

Figs is only out for two more games.

I think Fox will be fit for Derby, not sure about Preston. but I think we can cope with a reshuffle for one match.

Where are you getting your info on Fox's fitness Sniff?

Every time I've heard AK on the subject he's been non-committal as to the timing of his return.

I was under the impression they thought it was fine and then he broke down again. That might be duff info on my part but if it's true and it keeps happening then we may not see him for ages yet.

I seem to remember 2 or 3 weeks ago Karanka said Fox will be out for another 2 or 3 weeks.

Not sure if something has happened since? Did he break down again since Karanka said that? I haven't heard anything.

Forget the breaking down thing. There's every chance I might have imagined it.
