Tree Lockdown & Christmas Weight Loss - Please Help
Posted by: DragonLady - 01-06-2021, 04:17 PM - Forum: COYR Forest Forum Ale House - Replies (12)

Please delete if not allowed...........
So I recently became a Slimming World consultant, bought the franchise, during  1st weekend of training end of October BOOM Lock down  Angry. I'll cope I thought, got a group to take over who were being run by a temp they do not like virtual zoom, members falling fast, through no fault of my own we had to change venue, members not happy, even less came on board virtually before I even took over. Now we are in lockdown again, I have not been able to promote out and about as I am classed as vulnerable.
So to cut a long story short, I was wondering if I could share my social links and group details here so people could share with family, friends , work colleagues.
It is run on Thursday evenings virtually at present, but once back in venue it would be in Beeston, anything would help me.
Once again, apologies if this is not allowed

Who's having it?

Who's not going to have it?

Who's suspicious and who's not?

Personally I am not rushing into it and I will be sitting on the fence for a bit to see our things unravel.

Tree Lost Football Grounds & Terraces

Thought this would make an interesting thread where we can discuss our experiences and memories of some lost football grounds and terraces. First up is Molineux the old ground of Wolves. I can remember walking down that hill and sitting in the seats of that stand with the zigzag roof. I think it was the year we won the league and we won 1-3 if I remember well.

Tree Never Ending Story The Serious Version

It was a freezing cold winters day the very first time that I crossed Trent Bridge and headed down to the City Ground to watch my beloved Nottingham Forest.

Trump v Biden.

One week to go.

The words Laurel and Hardy come to mind.

What has happened to this once great country.

I will write the first sentence below and then the next poster follows on with another sentence to make a never ending story.

So I will begin:

One fine sunny day I was walking over Trent Bridge.

Does anybody actually watch these games?
I show a slight interest in Olympiakos and that is about it really.
I wish they would revert back to a knockout competition it would make it so much more interesting.

Breaking on sky. £4.6 billion package in place to get off the ground. Usual suspects in talks. FIFA backed. Most have less European Cups than us of course.

Inevitable and could kill top flight football as we know it.

Tree Project 'Big Picture'
Posted by: Sausage Roll - 10-13-2020, 04:27 PM - Forum: COYR Forest Forum Ale House - Replies (41)

Forest have just released an incredibly non-committal statement about the Project 'Big Picture' proposals which have been floated by the Liverpool owners recently.

"Nottingham Forest can confirm that it has received an initial high level briefing on the current position in relation to Project Big Picture along with other EFL clubs.

The club’s preliminary view is that there are many aspects of the proposals which appear to be in the long-term interests of football and are worthy of further discussion and negotiation.

It is obviously vital that any long-term settlement secures the immediate future of the football pyramid but it must also look after the interests of fans, the women’s game and the role of football in our communities.

There are no doubt governance issues which will require debate but the club considers that these issues should be capable of resolution in the interests of the game and that this debate at the top of football should not obscure the potential benefits of the proposal which will impact on a much wider community."

Obviously the EFL and wider football pyramid needs protecting during these unforeseen times, but does it have to be at the cost of handing over more power to the clubs at the very top-end?

The money is clearly there to do support the EFL anyway. It shouldn't be at the cost of an even-further-diminished influence for clubs like Forest.
