#dcfc fail to pay players on time due to takeover delay. Unfortunate news, obviously, but sources insist the takeover will be completed very soon. Story with

Classic delay from the buyer. Delay a few days to avoid payday and save yourself 2 or 3 mill.

#dcfc have confirmed a number of players and staff have tested positive for Covid.
- They have closed Moor Farm training ground as a precaution
- Club wants to postpone some upcoming fixtures and is in dialogue with EFL to do so.

Looks like the sheep will be fielding an academy/youth squad for their FA Cup tie vs. Chorley as the whole first time squad, and Rooney, are set to miss out because they'll be isolating.

And I bet they dont care at all. Gives then the opportunity to go out of the competition early without embarrassment.

Derby County still haven't paid some players their December wages. Was reported last week that the delay was due to the takeover, but as of tonight some remain unpaid.

There's also some frustration over a perceived lack of communication.

Sheffield United just beat Newcastle (who funnily enough were the only team the sheep beat in their record-breaking season).

The 12 points is on.
