If the playoff final were to be played on the weekend of 27 June, and the league restarted with the games restarting using the same fixture template as it stood when games were cancelled with effect from 14 March, then the season would need to restart on the weekend of 11 April.
The above structure includes playing only three games in a four week period (the two playoff semi finals and the final). These could clearly be squeezed into a smaller window (albeit a lot of pressure would be on the teams reaching the final in terms of selling tickets and travel logistics / demands).
However the semi finals could feasibly played on the 12/13 and 17/18 June.
Therefore the final match of the normal season could take place on either 6/7 June.
With nine rounds of matches needing to be played up to and including 6/7 June and working on the premise of Saturday / Wednesday / Saturday the latest the Championship could restart would be the weekend of 8 / 9 / 10 May.
I wouldn’t underestimate the desire of the Clubs, TV, Sponsors and the EFL to finish this season and with over seven weeks until 8 / 9 / 10 May it is clearly workable if they work on self isolation of the players, staff, officials, etc.

I’m sorry but that looks perfectly feasible on the face of it - but this crisis ( it seems to me ) is so much more grave for anyone to worry about football.
I just don’t see it happening - I truly hope to be proved wrong.

I think if remotely possible they will try to finish the remaining 9 games, shoehorn them all into June if necessary. Alternatively start in August finish this season and start the next immediately in September (scrap league cup, a few more midweek games and it is just maybe workable).
Either way I suspect playoffs will be scrapped.

Its not like the players will be jetting off into the sun this summer is it? Everywhere will have travel bans in place and players will not want to risk catching the virus so close to the start of a new season.

I very much doubt any cup will be scrapped, or the playoffs if the season does restart.

TBH, its about time the League Cup was scrapped anyway. No teams take it too seriously until the semi's and final and put out their second string teams. Attendances are very low at most games, with the exception of a giant premiership side being the opponents or it is a local derby of course.
In all honesty, how many of you are that bothered if we get knocked out of it at an early stage?

Not at all bothered. Dump it for me.
I have no desire to watch my team's reserves play against Arsenal or Chelsea reserves.
