I'd sell carvalho and reinvest properly. Silva is much more suited to the champ, than carvalho. I really cant see him improving vastly, not many will like but lee Tomlin would have been a better acquisition for a fraction of the cost.

realistically what would we get for carvalho? not to be taken seriously but transfermarket.com price him at 7million.

i cant see carvalho coming good during these cold winter months. his head drops and he goes missing. happy to be wrong but hes not the fighting type.

luton got izzy brown on loan from chelsea. the winger has 5 assists already this season.

west brom get matheus pereira from sporting lisbon on loan. he has 6 assists and 3 goals.

we get bonatini, dias, goncavles, mir.

Plus a lovely new stadium revamp on the way. Can't believe some are questioning the owner.

I’m not yet convinced personally. 

if we have another January of signing the likes of Pele, Bonatini, etc and then everyone saying that January isn’t the best time to make signings, then it’s probably valid for it to be questionable. 

if we sign Gayle, Woods and Maddison then ambition can’t be questioned.
What about Collback. I think we have missed him last few weeks.

There will be mistakes along the way but anyone who is questioning the ambition of Evangelos Marinakis is way off the mark.

I still have doubts, talk is cheap - pretty much every Chairman in the football league wants promotion/ progression.

I don’t doubt that Marinakis wants promotion but I’ll have a better idea in January as to at what cost.

I think we have seen plenty of action and not just talk. Have we all forgotten that this club was ready to go out of business 2 years ago?

We didn't spend 13M on Carvalho but we still spent an awful lot, enough to easily break our transfer record.

Every club in the land sign players that don't work out, it's not only us you know.

It's not our owners fault that there is no permanent transfer window, if there was things would have been sorted long ago. As it is we now have to wait until January and after that maybe next summer, we'll have to wait and see about that.

Forest are still a project.  It's heading in the right direction.  Not all transfers are successful.  The overall squad is better and deeper.  The recent league positions reflect that.  I feel the Coach has to hand up his hand for the Wigan game...and possibly the Hull game too.

But Man Utd haven't done as well with their best players out injured either.  

Sometimes it takes time to iron things out.  Forest are only 2 years into what is really a 3 year project.  They need a couple more transfer windows to weed out the pretenders and the non-performers.

The other teams ahead of Forest in the top 6 haven't been the basket case Forest were as little as two years ago. Forest are only now in the last year getting their **** together. Whereas other teams have had professional teams steamrolling past Forest for the last ten years at least.

You've got to hand it to Southampton, Watford, Burnley, Norwich, Bournemouth, Wigan, Hull etc. They're either in the Premier or been there. They must have had some attributes in place that Forest didn't.

hopefully dawson will be there. robinson definitely needs to be dropped IMO but will he favour him there against a physical luton side in a small hostile ground?
