I think that has been half the problem despite the owners being here for a couple of seasons we haven`t had the correct structure to support constant change of manager now hopefully we do.

I’m also interested to hear who the coaching staff are. The only one I know is Ian Bennett the GK coach. They seem to have much say with Sabri. The sow sub that nearly happened wasn’t Sabris idea - it was one of the coaches...

Mir is the closest and he is not as good as Tyler Walker. Big wages and a hefty loan fee for Mir. We have to sell potential superstars to pay for that dross. It is so scattergun.

Still at it? Only one of those you mentioned arrived this season and he is in the squad every week.
It will get sorted. What do you want a first team squad of 18?

Far too early to write Mir off in my opinion.

I think he’ll be useful over the course of the season.

In age group football, including at international level, Appiah has looked the business. In first team football he has not looked like he has an end product (since goal against Burton). He has terrific feet and good balance, but lacks explosive pace. Of course that could all change as he developed....but the money was on the table now.
Great deal for a reserve youngster I think. Especially as those who follow the age groups describe Alex Mighten as very similar type of player, but with genuine pace. As always time will tell. I think you should change your name to Marvin. I recommend everybody reads your posts with an Alan Rickman voice.

Has anyone mentioned his agent? Or that he might have wanted this move more then people are making out? Im sure his move has a lot of personal monetary incentives to do well and also gets to live in sunny Spain which is probably a little bit better then the club digs above hooters!

i think today was awesome, would the club of turned down £3, £4 or £5m for Appiah, i guess they must of done so surely held him in high regard, but £7,920,000 for a player who has featured so little seems like extremely good business
i think the club must be under some FFP pressure but this cash infusion could help make the January window alot more interesting I wish Bridcutt, Murphy, Appiah, Cummings and Ariyibi all the best, trimming down the squad and getting some good money seems very positive appreciate a few loans out but i calculate 21 players have gone out the door this summer, plus a couple more where loans to us went back in June

Forest get £8m for Appiah.
Liverpool get just £1.7m for Duncan. Very reasonable comparison.

I reckon we have received a total of 28M for Brererton, Burke and Appiah.
Just let that sink in for a minute. Some great work being done down at the academy. |
