Not sure what our best XI is yet and dont think we will know for a bit. Ive found Lamouchi’s formations surprising in that its not the 4231 that we have seen for some time, more of a 4141. Also in all 3 league games so far we have ended the match in a pretty conventional 442.

I am delighted he doesnt seem to be a sit on a 1 goal lead manager, obviously encouraged us to keep going forward on Saturday and frustrated when we didnt against Fleetwood.

Wednesday we play Charlton. Some thinking for Sabri to do this week, the two giants in midfield has been rested, so no risks there, they will start on Wednesday. Cash nd Worall have the engine, question mark is will we risk Dawson nd risk losing him for Fulham?...same applies to Robo. In midfield, the two giants sorted, I think Ameobi will start, rested also on Saturday. Lolley nd Grabs ever present...that will leave us with Watson nd Silva. Think Silva will start nd maybe Bostock instead of Watson, not because he is playing badly but looking forward to the Fulham game. Fellas we have to keep in mind that the following week we have Derby  even though it is a cup game...we will be treating as such...Sabri knows that...

I agree with TheGreenMan, I don't think there is actually 1 best team. However there is a strong core that is in everyone's "best" team which bodes well.

I like the fact at the moment i can say this is the best team of one game and that change it to say this is the best team to face this team.

The "Best Team" is not and never will be a constant; fluctuations in players form necessitate change.

The one thing that stands out with Lamouchi so far is his ability to effect change in an extremely competent manner.

He has not tinkered with the starting line up, rewarding good performances with a place in the team and his substitutions in the Leeds and Birmingham games had a very positive effect.

We now have genuine competition for places; maybe there was method in the so called madness of the scattergun approach.

We are one player, another good forward, away from having a very good squad.

one thing which annoyed me about karanka was his inability/refusal to make changes when things werent working.

this doesnt appear to be the case for lamouchi
