Thought by who? This whole article is just speculation.

This is the key point though in his case, was it explained to him and justified for some reason. If not would be harsh from a personal level on a kid that just moved for 37m, not sure that's the best way to look after a big signing personally but hopefully he was given prior warning/justification.
