Anyone else annoyed Lewis-Skelly red card has been overturned? Arteta goes on a rant and no action. Sky and MOTD apoplectic simply because its Arsenal.
Was it a red? Well it was 100% a yellow a clear and cynical trip with studs up. In real time it certainly looked a borderline red to me. After the hundredth replay maybe a bit harsh but you lot don’t need me to tell you we had far far worse go against us last season to a mass of shrugged shoulders from the national media and PGMOL. Shearer mouthing off about this one being one of the worst decisions he has ever seen. Absolute tripe.
Meant to add the media pile on has lead to threats against Michael Oliver one of the few referees in the country who most people think is actually excellent.

A review of VARs performance so far this season has found 13 errors. 4 of those were incorrect interventions, 1 of which was to disallow Milenkovic's goal vs. Southampton. Luckily it didn't cost us.

Who knows what would have happened at Bournemouth if that 4th goes in that games ends so much better and maybe we wouldn’t be so jittery and lose 5-0

Taylor got something wrong? Im shocked. Pretty sure the elbow on MGW in the same game is one of the unnamed red cards that weren’t given.
Having said all that I reckon some of the luck that totally deserted us last season is now back on our side. It didn’t affect the result but how on earth Sangares triple handball for the 6th goal was given I don’t understand, thats ruled out in 90% of games. If that incident was a in 0-0 by an opponent and given against us we would have been seething.
By the way before someone says it, yes that incident could possibly be penalty for Sangare, in which case that should have been the VAR decision.

It did make me laugh how vehemently Brighton protested against it, given they were already 5-0 down.

I thought there was a rule that any kind of handball disallowed a goal automatically?

This story seems strangely familiar:
Real Madrid sent a formal letter of complaint, external to the Spanish FA (RFEF) and Spain's High Council for Sports after suffering a 1-0 defeat at Espanyol on Saturday.
The only goal of the game was scored by Espanyol defender Carlos Romero, who Real felt should have been sent off for an earlier challenge on Kylian Mbappe.
In the letter they claimed that officials - including video assistant referees (VAR) - are biased against them, "rigged", and "completely discredited".
The letter said: "Decisions against Real Madrid have reached a level of manipulation and adulteration of the competition that can no longer be ignored."
