Referee Watch
I think it was a very good weekend for Referees in general, had the opportunity to watch both sunday games as well as ours and decent all round.

I also agree with the Southampton offside

Oliver is the best of the bunch in my opinion.

He's also on the man city ownership payroll....

I don’t think he is on the payroll that’s a clear conflict of interest. However he was invited to UAE to referee one game for which he was paid £20k
He is registered as a Newcastle fan but stats suggest he is comparatively lenient on Man City when officiating their games.

20k was paid by man city's owners..... You could say they are playing the big guns in this one!

Again Rob Jones sends off someone  for a second yellow after being stamped on today in lewis for man city surely if it a clear and obvious error var should get involved

Our ref last night was a joke. He gave them every single foul and we got nowt. The Old Trafford effect.

It was funny when he kept making Onana replace the ball for the free kick in extra time, waisted 49 seconds - well done!

He was a bit dodgy.

The amount of soft free kicks he gave them was suspect, some of them were around our box too.

Can't overturn a yellow but they could've given a penalty which would've meant they could've overturned the yellow I presume.

Whilst I agree he gave them far too many soft free kicks around our area, he also stuck to his guns when Onana tried to gain about 10 yards with that free kick in the final couple of minutes. The ref wouldnt let him take the kick until it was in the right place and Onana wasted 43 seconds of trying to cheat before the Ref would let him take the kick. How many other Refs wouldve been so insistent and not buckled under the Manc crowd? Give him some credit please
