Or maybe just too much of an ask to have him play his first serious minutes in the country out of position on such a massive night?

We won last night in case it's all a blur.

Finally beginning to feel “normal”.
Great day out in the smoke, every player is an absolute credit to this club.
I’m still not sure how I managed to sit on my hands when the goal went in but was out of my seat at the final whistle loud and proud. There were a few Forest fans around us in the home end but no real trouble.
Lots of fun in the Eight Bells afterwards too.
On to Saturday

How long since we could say that? How long since this club has made us feel that way?
2003?
1995?
1991?
Whatever I am so grateful we have a Forest we can be proud of right now.

The squad depth has been the biggest difference in this season versus other recent ones in my opinion.
Grabban gets injured - Davis steps up.
David gets injured - Surridge steps up.
Cook gets injured - Figs steps up.
Samba gets suspended - Horvath steps up.
Lowe gets injured - Colback moves role and does brilliantly.
Even the likes of Cafu and Silva look like they'll contribute as and when we need them to. Hell I hope it doesn't need to happen but I even think Bong would make a decent fist of things under Cooper.

Since the year we finished 3rd under Billy I reckon.
This season definitely tops that one too thanks to the style of play. It's just so satisfying going into every single game expecting that we'll win and actually winning most of them! Surreal really. I think this is what good teams experience!

Honestly I dont think the general feeling around both the club and the fanbase was anything like the same under Billy even the first time. There was still an under current of tension with Mark Arthur. The style of play was OK at home, for the most part absolutely dire attritional away. Not sure what the crowds were but I doubt we were selling out every game.

Don't know about that ‐I still have that 3‐1 away win against West Brom as one of our best performances of last 20 year. We played some fantastic stuff that night.
But I agree, this season feels so much special possibly because of what we were all resigned to in mid September. No one could have predicted this as well as the FA Cup run.
I'm sure I will wake up soon and find our self level on points with Birmingham with hughton still in charge beng grateful that reading and Derby were deducted points.

I think there were players like Perch or Adebola who were underrated/under appreciated/etc. so discounted them.

Yeah tbh that WBA game was mainly what I was mainly what I was thinking of. I was at that game too, was only a student at the time so was a rarity. We had the unbeaten away chant which was pretty fun.
Agreed though this is something else, really hope we can finish it off with something tangible and moslve the club up to the next level
