I see that our old adversaries Hamburg ( 52000 ) & Cologne ( 48000 ) still getting phenomenal backing in the second tier of German football.

3rd is pretty good on 25.6k. I think that might rise with a return to the Premier to about 28 or 29k...where I think we could catch up just behind Villa or Leeds.
...and with cheap tickets for younger fans, Forest are growing the base. SA.

Looks like Saturday will be a sellout, the turnaround at the club has been awesome. Even the Trent End has started singing again, well just a little bit.

The fact this is home support only is pretty remarkable in that I suspect it is our highest ever average in an all seater City Ground. Until recently LB stand has been solely away support and holds 5k therefore home support alone was never exceeding 25k. To average above this shows how much we have grown.
The other point is being above the Sheep again shows the turnaround, I think they averaged 10k more than us just a couple of years ago. And yes the Trent End does stir occasionally, miss the old terrace days though but thats another topic. |
