But it was all that was needed...what followed would have been different otherwise. And when it becomes a pattern it tells you something.

Do you want us to be bad? You seem to want to read more into this, we were unlucky, commentators (and Norwich fan mates) agreed. Let's hope we can take the momentum from this performance in to the nicer games

Of course I don’t want us to be bad, and I didn’t think we were bad tonight. A lot of effort at least. I think I’m reading into this what’s actually happening. We’re kidding ourselves if we think we deserved a point from it. They dominated the first half until they scored. It was obvious from watching, but if you want some stats it was 66% possession to 34%. 15 shots to 6.  4 shots on target to 0.

We do better after half time, but they had the lead. Then when we equalize so they come straight back at us and take the lead again quickly. Then we ‘do better’ again. There’s a reason for it is what I’m saying, and we can’t think we’ve gone toe to toe with them and been unlucky. The clue is when something keeps happening, it’s not luck.

Tend to agree. The only game this season which we have won after dominating the game is Wycombe at home. That is the level of our performances so far. We have looked good in spells in other games, but we always make unforced errors which lead to goals for the opposition. We are mentally weak and lack leadership on the field.

A relegation season.

Yep  and a lot of those good spells have been when we have gone behind and been chasing matters and the opposition is sitting on the game.

Even our goal to tonight was a cross so if we're saying we were unlucky with their 2nd goal we have to say we were lucky to be at 1-1 in the first place.

Chris Hughton on January:

‘I think predominantly we’ll stick with this group of players. We will work as hard as we can to tweak something.

‘But there certainly won’t be anything wholesale happening after the amount that came in in the summer.’

A couple of half decent, reasonably quick attacking midfielders will do for me.
Could ( hopefully ) transform our fortunes.

We still haven’t added the quality we needed in the Summer

Disagree... We need to stop conceding 2 goals a game it's embarrassing.. nearly all of them are self inflicted

For a minute or 4 I thought we might sneak a point. A bit unlucky, but gifting the opposition their first goal in games is a really bad habit we need to rectify if we want to get clear of the bottom 3.

If we can stop the rot vs Brentford, then improve against those not in top 5 then we might be OK.

My worry is another sh1tshow usually follows promising performances this year.....

And Knockeart has broken his scoring/assist duck, so hopefully be like buses....

I know it’s grim and I criticise Hughton but I’m not thinking it’s relegation fwiw. Just a really disappointing year. F#@king 2020!

Don’t disagree - but not the time for wholesale changes.
Secure survival.
Blood some kids once safe ( we’ll be ok )
Review progress.
Searching critique of ( lack of ) recruitment success - and sort!
Significant pruning of squad ( January & Summer )
Quality over Quantity

Review roles of all senior management inc Vrentzos

Agreed with all of that.

Other than one mistake and an unfortunate deflected goal we defended well and caused them problems upfront. On most other days we’d have got something from the game. On to the next.

Find myself agreeing.
I was tearing my hair out after 20 minutes & then again at full time - but for very different reasons.
We were as bad as we’ve ever been for the first 20
But then bloody unlucky to be fair.
