But it was all that was needed...what followed would have been different otherwise. And when it becomes a pattern it tells you something.
Do you want us to be bad? You seem to want to read more into this, we were unlucky, commentators (and Norwich fan mates) agreed. Let's hope we can take the momentum from this performance in to the nicer games
Of course I don’t want us to be bad, and I didn’t think we were bad tonight. A lot of effort at least. I think I’m reading into this what’s actually happening. We’re kidding ourselves if we think we deserved a point from it. They dominated the first half until they scored. It was obvious from watching, but if you want some stats it was 66% possession to 34%. 15 shots to 6. 4 shots on target to 0.
We do better after half time, but they had the lead. Then when we equalize so they come straight back at us and take the lead again quickly. Then we ‘do better’ again. There’s a reason for it is what I’m saying, and we can’t think we’ve gone toe to toe with them and been unlucky. The clue is when something keeps happening, it’s not luck.
Tend to agree. The only game this season which we have won after dominating the game is Wycombe at home. That is the level of our performances so far. We have looked good in spells in other games, but we always make unforced errors which lead to goals for the opposition. We are mentally weak and lack leadership on the field.
A relegation season.
Yep and a lot of those good spells have been when we have gone behind and been chasing matters and the opposition is sitting on the game.
Even our goal to tonight was a cross so if we're saying we were unlucky with their 2nd goal we have to say we were lucky to be at 1-1 in the first place.
