Nottingham Forest - Reading

Better performance - against a better team - than Sunday.
You just knew that - when we scored - we’d drop deeper & deeper ( it’s in our bloody DNA ).
Thought we did enough to edge it but - as they say - look in the book.

Conceding late is frustrating but sadly that going to happen when you repeatedly try and win by one goal. Not a criticism just a statement of fact. That said its disappointing the other teams only seem to look threatening after we've scored.

Is Puscas the worse attacker to play at City ground this season (excluding Mir)? Thought Joe had him in his pocket all game.

Can we buy John Swift please? A proper midfielder.

Forest and Reading at the 2 top in form teams in the league. Therefore, no surprise 2 draws against them.

We do miss an attacking threat to bring on - which hopefully the new French guy on loan will now offer. Could have done with bringing on Mighten last night, personally I think he should be used now as an impact sub.

Albert and Ameobi are not first team if we are serious about promotion......they are subs and backup only.

Sabri - “I felt the stadium was disappointed, the dressing room was disappointed and the players were disappointed, but we have 18 games to play. The Championship is so tough, so long, so difficult so it is a very good point against a very good team, a very organised team."

5 points off the top 4 points off the auto's last night was another big step forward, they knew what was at stake didn't do the usual no show when we get these little opportunities controlled the game looked good for the league position against as well organised outfit that we have played this season

I think you have to look at in the context of the championship and last time we were beat was Udders away, this is Forest doing Christmas and January and not screwing it up royally, the fact we lost 2 points not scrapped 1 the disappointment but still making progress keeps up the momentum going into a great fixture next week against Brentford where they will have the pressure on them to get 3 points as the home team, win next week and its hysteria time, draw is a great result, losing would be par the course for this division and wouldn't do us a great deal of harm in the whole scheme of things

I'm delighted

Sigh.

Boro, Wigan, Cardiff etc. another opportunity lost. It's incredibly frustrating because I genuinely feel there's little more that Lamouchi can get fro this group of players.

The poor defending lost us the points, but it's another game where quality options in attack & on the bench would have seen all 3 go our way IMO

Carvalho had his best game in some time, but the second we had him, Silva & Adomah on the same pitch that was the second we surrendered the points. And that's not Lamouchi's fault either. We can't risk Sow breaking with all these quick games in succession.

The entire season always comes back to the lack of quality signings made in attack for the past year. Last Jan? Poor, we were 7th & should have added, but OK forgive move on. This Summer? very poor, plenty of time to land at least 1 of several good & modestly priced options out there. If we fail to land those players this Jan it will be shocking tbh.

The club needs to start acting more like a Prem club if it wants to be one. The fact that we didn't bring anyone in early doors shows we're slacker than we should be.

They've had a few swings of the bat to fill the obvious positions of Striker, ACM and Winger.

Should have brought Yates on for Sow. Taking Silva off. Wasn't having this best game. And maybe put Car' ahead of them. I didn't feel the swap was like for like. And that led to Forest's undoing eventually. Seem to lose that bit of dominance with Sow going off. But yes, flog him and we risk 'breaking' him again.

Hope springs eternal.
