Guer seemed to be a link man. On the efl it looked like he was dropping off.
But close enough to interplay. Best we've had at that role in a long time. SA.

That would explain Guer looking more dropped off.
4-4-1-1 seemed to suit Forest loads. Ch getting time into players legs to build up fitness and some clever rotation. Shuffled his pack well over the games so far. SA.

It’s true that they are similar, but for most of the match we set up in a 4-2-3-1. The main difference is the midfield both played holding roles, rather than in a flat four. This began because some were saying we set up in a 4-4-2 with Taylor and Guerrero as a pair, which is wide of the mark.

I think the positioning of the wings does shift between the two formations during a game. What was different against Wycombe was the role Guerrero was playing, closer to Taylor more of a shadow than a playmaker.

I personally think 4411 as there is a subtle difference between Guerreros role than say freeman. Guerrero plays with his back to goal and looks to hold and link play quickly- freeman more on the half turn. Just my opinion...

Looking like the EFL are to vote 5 subs back in.
Can’t decide whether that’s good or not for us. Deep squad = strong bench = +ve Small squads ( other clubs ) = greater ability to rotate = not so +ve

We do have a couple paper players (I'm looking at you, Sow!), who still manage to have a big impact when they're involved! Means we can get minutes into the legs of returning players easier too if the opportunity arises during a game. Maybe even allow players like Mighten to get more of a look in. |
