Just let that sink in for a minute. Some great work being done down at the academy.

And compare that to the Sheep's success rate (who are Cat 1).

I can only think of Will Hughes from there who's gone on and been sold for biggish money.

That just goes to show that being Cat 1 doesn't mean a lot. Gary Brazil and co do a fantastic job for our football club.

I think even Hughes started off in our Academy didn't he?

Didn’t we also let Harvey Barnes go too?

We may have let one or two slip away but some seriously fantastic work has been done over the years. Tremendous effort by all those involved. We have an Academy to be proud of.

Young Alex Mighten banged in a hatrick for England U18s. (Sorry if mentioned elsewhere)

Gotta hope they keep coming through. Frustrating when you see talent sold when they've barely kicked a ball in the first team.

Walker has 4 goals for Lincoln. Grant has 5 assists

Wonder if we added a sell in clause with Grant?

The fact that so many of our youngsters have been sold for such staggering amounts is fantastic for the Club.

We may not be benefiting from their services in the future, but the amount of incoming money helps finance the next crop of youngsters, and creates a lasting impression on the parents of children who have yet to decide which Club to commit to.

Catagory 1 status is important; not only from the all encompassing nature of Cat 1 with education and player welfare on another level, but also from the better standard of football the kids will be playing.
