I would like to see us go 3 at the back too. Like others have said we have the personal for it.
If we try it and we lose we should stick with it not jack it in after one attempt like we have done previously. Lets give it a proper go for 5 or 6 games not for 45 minutes. It won't happen though.

Totally agree Sniffer! we have tried the same players, tactics and formations for to long now with the same result virtually every game. Time for a big change including attitude from both Manager & Players, nothing to lose everything to gain! Lets start to be pro-active and NOT re-active.

Why would we go three at the back? Firstly CH has no experience of using that formation as far as I'm aware. Secondly I doubt the players have practised it much and have not got much experience playing it. Thirdly when we have used it before we've struggled. Fourthly, noone else uses it in this league. Fifthly (is that a word), Mckenna is injured so we'd need to play Figs and Soh who's only played once (or twice maybe) this season.
Play the same tactics we played vs Watford and try and avoid handballs on the goalline. Seems like a solid strategy.
I'm guessing Sow will be required tonight to start with Yates and Colback out. We might see Fred on the bench too.
I think we just need to grin and bear it for the next two games, hopefully get something but not get too upset if we don't. Then get a run going over Xmas and hopefully pull away. Sheff wed, brum, Millwall, Stoke, Preston to close out the year. If we've not got some breathing room by then, thats when we can legitimately start to panic

Why would we go three at the back? Simple, results.
Managers and players can/need to be flexible. They are all professionals who have been taining every day year after year. Going three at the back shoiuldn't be difficult. It's football we are not building a space rocket.
If I remember well Swansea played against us with a back 3.

Agree with Sniffer, its all about results at present we have to try something different, also the opposition are not expecting us to play this way!

I am willing to bet a gazillion punds we will not play a back 3 tonight.
If we are to ever experiment with that system then I would suggest the very worst time to give it a first run out would be away to the league leaders.

It seems the consensus of forum posters so far agree with Sniffer and myself that we should give 3 at the back a go, if we are to lose tonight so what it might just work!
