Forest always have a tendency in recent years (not we've had many opportunities in recent years) to mess up these chances to do the business when it really matters. I am therefore expecting us to struggle simply because of the weight of expectation. That said, we have shown far greater resilience this year and have had the ability to grind out results. Another one tonight will do nicely.

Nevertheless, win, lose or draw, tonight will not define our season. A win doesn't mean we will win promotion and defeat doesn't mean we won't.

But if we do take the lead in the 96th minute, I hope we actually win this time

Team selection could be interesting for both sides tonight. Will Diakhaby get on the bench, would have thought so.
In the last round of the cup, Reading played their reserves but at the weekend they have a home tie against Carduff, which could give them a chance of a lucrative 5th round tie against one of the 'big' boys, so will they rest few tonight......

Focussing on a cup run would make sense for Reading, they are 10 points and 10 teams adrift of 6th and 12 points clear of relegation, no reason not to go all in on the cup run, yes, Forest 6 Reading 0 110/1 £5 Get In

*nods.  A familiar tale of the burden of expectation.  We'll see if Forest can demonstrate the resilience that has seen then through the last difficult 1 in 7 patch and re-enter the play offs off the back of a decent run of hard fought for results.

The notable exception was when Maji blew WBA away with a wonder strike to put Forest 2nd.
