Shame he's going. (A LB, ironically.). Guess he wasn't ready for the first team?
Good to read that the young guns have been training with the squad players. Young players will see a path to the first team. If they're good enough and have the right attitude.
SA.
Matty Bondswell wouldnt have pushed for first team for at least another 2/3 years. Only left school last month.
Forest couldn’t have done any more to keep him, they offered him Dekel and Mighten (Best 3 talents in their year group) scholarships at age 13 and all of the kept them hanging on.
Currently Mighten has signed, which at 17 turns in to a 2.5 yr pro deal.
Interesting what happens to Dekel, not signed for anybody yet but not committed to Forest either yet.

I live in York and followed Gary Mills at York did a decent job first time round but not really managed to match that since. Would be another good addition to the forest staff. Do we know whether there are any plans to bring lester back in some capacity?

Have to say Jack would be my preference - great with the kids ( & that skill - as demonstrated by Paul Hart - is much underrated ).

I would like to see jack back, did a great job first time helping to push the youth players into the first team,
would he want to come back to youth football after being a manager I don't know although he would find it difficult to get
a managers job in the football league may have to go lower down the system and start again.

Cheers for the info'. It adds a bit more depth to his departure...and context. (So, he wasn't going to make an impact for the 1st team for a good long while anyhow...)
Forest need players that can commit. Forest are going places under the new owners.
At least Forest have signed Mighten. That's a positive...and we can keep an eye on his progress.

Seem to make the team competitive and seemed to do a great job with them. I used to read about their results and progress.
Like you say, if he wants to continue with management, he might have to start with a lower down team.
I'd like him back at Forest.

That was the original claim from a poster on CGF if I remember correctly. The person who, for whatever reason, made it up clearly overlooked the fact that the majority of players involved at that time will now be in their mid/late-sixties or older.
Quite frankly, it was one of the daftest things I've read on a Forest forum, and I couldn't believe how many bought it.
Well, that 'claim' (as you call it), was made by me pal, on this forum as well as on Vital when I used to post on there.
I don't make stuff up, as many people will tell you on this forum. If you think that I do, then this forum is in deep deep trouble!!
Gary Mills is/was the man in question (I sent pm's to a few on here). It happened (interview etc) , absolute 100% fact.
By the way, It may still happen (his appointment), no appointment has been made yet...Gary Mills is 56, not late sixties, he is one year older than Gary Brazil.
Please, don't try to make this forum like some of the others by attacking posters who pass on good info in good faith.
Werewof, you should do you homework before you start making absurd accusations about certain posters.
I have followed Sniffer on other forums for years before this one and he doesn't write BS.

Isn't what respectful differences of opinions make forums so popular?
Forums would be a damned sight boring if everybody shared the same matter of opinion on every subject.
Every body is entitled to their own opinion, but it doesn't make their opinion right, nor does it mean you have to accept it. Debate and discussion are powerful things if used in the right context and can bring a lot of useful information out to the fore. The same applies to disagreement, provided it is done in a sensitive and respectful way.
Well that's my opinion anyway, it is entirely up to you whether you agree with it or not

I agree.
I'm a long-time member and poster on LTLF (under a different username I hasten to add) and feel that the mods get the balance right over there on the whole, in terms of allowing robust disagreement and debate, and even reasonable confrontation as long as it doesn't get out of hand.
It's clearly a different approach on here, but it's good to see another forum with a similarly wide range of topics. I'll try and keep the restraint in approach to posting on here more in mind in future.
TBF you basically said it was a load of rubbish and one of the most ridiculous things you've ever read. Not quite a debate more of a dig.
Sniffer didn't have to tell you it was him who said it, it's not different on here but debate should be reasoned not thrown.

Fair comment. What makes this forum so refreshing is that people share juicy info'. Sniffer, BadDog, Jock and several others...
To do this without being hammered, insulted or stalker 'digged' at all the time (which resulted in a toxic atmosphere on certain other forums...) is what makes this a better place for Forest fans who want a bit of inside track or just a cool place to hang out and chat about Forest stuff.
The best thing is to just enjoy the information at face value. People seem to post in genuine good faith and it should be accepted in that spirit.
So thanks to Sniffer, BadDog and Jock as well as the others such as Red for sharing the 'secret juice' and keep it coming.
