You have to have the players to defend corners.
Fig' is Championship 'green.' And Fox has been outstanding. But is he commanding? Wigan and Brum clearly got at Fig', Pants and Fox...and yes, the fullbacks have been targeted as well.
Forest don't have a 'Flint' at the moment. If Heff' and Dawson are both fit...are they the answer? Does that make us 'slow' at the back? Fox's shirt to lose. At least he cares. I commend him.
You have to have players to score goals. Strikers that is.
You have to have 'energy' in teh engine room midfield dept.
Teething problems. But then, Forest were building from such a low base, the odd 32-34 was inevitable as Forest were a young side that got bullied under Warburton.
Having brought in 23 players, the last few games have seen Forest bullied at teh back, bullied in teh middle. Head scratching? Not really. The two centre halves Forest brought in were not fit and over the ill.
Same with CM. The two CMs brought in (aside from Colback...) were over the hill and inconsistent.
But it's a state of where Forest are, in development as a club. One minute we're on life support a year or so ago the next minute we're 'going for it.'
I just think we're half way through a transition from life support to a 'going for it' club.
Not all the players brought in were 'old' but in key positions Forest have Dawson, Watson and Murphy. I think they can do a job.
But are they Flint, Saiss and Gayle? Those look like a good spine to me. But we don't have them. We have 3 34 year olds pretty much along the spine. Not fast enough for the Championship. I can't run as fast as I could when I was in my twenties...
No. Perhaps we could have got those three players with £13million?

B.B was young. Falling over and thinking you've made it because you're playing for England youth...? Cash hinted in his interview that the manager doesn't like players who sulk. And he'd have a right to. Because he got dropped having had a great end to the season and his application, energy, attitude and goal scoring from his position have made him, for me, a far better all round player than B.B. Points and goals in the bank? It's Cash so far that influences games. No huff and puff there. He has worked on composure finishing and it shows on the pitch. That's because he's not falling over all the time. But he did once for a penalty when he got clipped. ;)
You'd think we'd make progress by Christmas. But I'd caveat that by hoping that all players are fit, and the two positions that Forest get in DCM and Striker in exchange for B.B are absolutely crucial for a top 6 finish.
Ten games. 15. X-mas. We'll know far more.
We're vulnerable now to kick and rush set piece play. And...it's a man's game. You have to deal with it in the Championship.

Selling youth. It's a necessary evil.

We can question who he brought it, and at moment a lot of them have a lot to prove. But he cant keep throwing a fit when they don't perform - cos if that continually happens, he will have to start looking in the mirror along with the coaches. He needs to get the best out of the squad and improve each and everyone of the players -the players he wanted.
To be fair I have to agree here, my biggest concern is what actually goes on around the training ground. Can't defend corners can't score corners, same problem from last year yet we have a whole new squad. He's got his players now so come Xmas if we have the same problem I think it's fair to say the coaching staff just aren't doing their job. Ak to be fair makes changes in games and the players coming on are fired up to it, and he must give a decent team talk (maybe only at half time). I believe he can motivate players, and any one not buying into his methods are shown the door. Which to be honest is what I want, Barry McKay got talent wrong attitude. Bb again always huffing n puffing, diving. Can imagine he's probably got to big for his boots. Traoure, another one with attitude problem. This is what us as forest needed get rid of the rot and have a togetherness.
