Definitely not a game for the first team but not sure I'd make 11 changes as some are suggesting. I'd keep the defence as is, I doubt wild horses would stop Neco from playing against his hometown team (hopefully we can bring in a new lb so we can rest Neco later on) & Aina is still playing his way back to full fitness so needs the game time. If we were to change anything in defence I wouldn't be too disappointed to see Morato & Cunha in the middle. I'd also keep Sels in goal, Gunn's doing a runner anyway so it's pointless playing him.
I think I'd go with a 433 & push a bit higher up the pitch..
---------Sels-----------
Aina-----Serb (Cunha)-----Murillo (Morato)------Williams
------------Luiz-----------Dom--------------Zinc--------------
------Bakwa/Hutch------Taiwo------------Ndoye-------------
By the way what’s the snow like there? If the weather turning grim later today is there any risk of a postponement?
Coming later today, morning we'll know more. Plenty schools closed in advance

Wrexham had some hospitality tickets available in home sections earlier this week WR. £90 a seat.
And before anyone piles in, I’m not advocating sitting in home ends but it might be an option to look into….
I will be there in the away end WR. My son used to play at Wrexham at youth level.

Complete rotation.......we really want to LOSE this game. We have enough with Europa League and PL......we dont need extra fixtures.
So - change the whole lot.

Arsenal play 3 games before us, we play 1.
We have a chance to win with high tempo play.........they will be tired.
So we have to rotate the lot and get everyone able to run around like madman for 90 minutes against Astenal.

Looks like I’m in a minority but resting players is a crazy notion, negativity breeds negativity, and we have plenty of rest time until the Arsenal game.
It also needs to be considered that if we are drawing or losing by the odd goal after seventy minutes then we’ll only bring those players on anyway in an attempt to salvage something. Who could then play 30 minutes of normal time, followed by 30 minutes of extra time and potentially penalties.
The team should be:
Sels (has only started one game for some time)
Savona
Aina (needs to continue to build up his match fitness)
Cunha
Milenkovic (to manage Cunha through the game)
Bakwa (needs minutes)
Hutchinson (can’t play in Europe this month so will not be used as much as others anyway)
Douglas Luiz (needs minutes)
Dominguez
MGW
Taiwo (Igor Jesus needs a rest)

Given up on McAtee?
Agree with the rest.

Not at all but I want to win this in 90 and MGW has scored goals this season despite some anonymous performances.

Yes agree with the point about avoiding the mess we made vs Exeter when the senior players we were trying to protect ended up playing longer than if we had just started them to begin with.

Nah. Play the ressies. We paid enough for them. Might as well see what they have in the muck and nettles of the F.A. Cup.
Cunha, Luiz, Bakwa, N'Doye, Taiwo (yes I said it), all need minutes. Yatesy? (is he back in training...) needs to play a little.
Savona needs to stay match fit. This is what a squad is for. We flogged the team to death last year and look what happened. We crawled home. We have more matches this year. Ando is cooked. Send him on holiday. Understand Neco is form Wrexham but we desperately need him to stay fit. Morato is big and strong and see if he can put in the minutes.
McAtee needs to play. Everyone has said it. He is built like a 12 year old boy. If we lose to Wrexham it is not going to wreck our season. Let's see if he can cut it against the cloggers.
Morgan, Jesus, Cho, Ando, Possibly Hutchinson, Murillo and the mad serb should put their feet up. Flogging Ola to death when he is just coming back seems like a bad idea. There needs to be some perspective. Also, if the newer players don't actually play then why did we bring them in?
I also kind of miss mad Jota and Sosa who weren't bad when they were here. They did better than N'Doye (confidence issue I think) and Mcatee. Hutchinson has the talent for certain. He just needs to not be passive in defending.
Anyway, what is past is past. A good account of ourselves and some battling performances and I am okay with us playing this team. Should be enough to be honest. What are we afraid of?
If Ando, MOrgan, Neco and Murillo want to come on for penalties then sure why not.

The little bit of snow we had has all gone now but I gather we're gonna be hit hard with about 20cm of snow overnight tonight :OMG: the sky does look full of it but apparently it's going to be followed by rain so it could be any of deep snow, slush or solid ice....hope that helps :Funny:

There’s also the negative impact of losing the game.
The knives are already out for Dyche and losing to Wrexham (who won four out of four over Christmas) would only heighten that noise.
