Welcome home Dychie! Really happy now. Cannot wait to hear him speak how happy he is to be here. Will be very refreshing after the last couple of months. Right behind this appointment.

I bet he thought he'd missed the boat after we jumped a level last year, certainly took a pretty unlikely set of circumstances to give him this chance. European football and a squad that just had a 200m investment that had previously finished 6th, can't complain at the tools this time. Hope he sorts out the defence/set pieces and we grind out some 1-0s.

Thursday sold out now. Amazing what a bit of feeling good about the club again can do.

This is the most positive I’ve felt about us since full time on the first day of the season.

It would take a hard nosed fan not to get a little bit nostalgic to see stone and woman back at the club. They were my two favourites growing up. Particularly woany - some of those goals in the fa cup are up there with my fondest forest memories as a kid

Hopefully Woany can tell the current players how to shoot from distance because we're dreadful at it at the moment!

Both goals away at Newcastle in the FA Cup, at home vs. them in the League, the free-kicks vs. Spurs in the FA Cup. He could really ping a long-range effort.

I suppose we're going to have to wait until tomorrow for a combined Dyche introduction / pre Porto press conference. I'm really intrigued to see it and see how he approaches things. Will the narrative be we're in trouble and need to knuckle under, work hard to get ourselves out of the shite, or will he be full of praise for the club, players & fans and talk up the good things about us?
I know one thing for certain, there'll be no mention of Spurs' performance last season.

He was massively talented but never really received the national plaudits he deserved. |
