25 squad -4 club trained = 21. Yates is club trained -22. I’m sure we are allowed to swap 2or 3 players from the 22 at any time.

Quite a pile on Nuno on twitter. Again I do not believe this list is entirely down to Nuno, it will have been signed off by multiple people in the club.

I’m sure it sucks for Hutchinson and Zinchenko, but sadly somebody had to miss out. And it’s the same for plenty of other teams and players throughout the league (Tel at Spurs, Chiesa at Liverpool for example). Am guessing (maybe hoping) that first priority was given to the players that got us into the competition and then they filled in the gaps best they could.

Not until the knock out phase where you can add 3 players. But 3 would have to drop out.

Squad unity - makes me think Nuno is staying and we get a kiss and make up story. Also think we’ll see Hutchinson get lots of minutes in the league and cups. Think we’ll get far in the cups this year too!

Only 4 association trained players can be listed in List A.
We have MGW, Anderson, Mcatee, Neco and Hutchinson

- on list A no club can have more than 25 players

- within this 8 players are reserved for locally trained players, and no club may have more than 4 association trained players

CLUB TRAINED PLAYER - player who has been at the club 3 yrs between 15 and 21
ASSOCIATION TRAINED PLAYER - on another clubs books for 3 yrs between 15 and 21

CHO, Ola and Wood have all played outside this association and therefore meet the foreign player rule.

So we had to leave 1 of the 5 mentioned above out.

Not sure that is right- CHO completed 3 years at Chelsea before his loan abroad / so did Aina / wood I’m not sure…

Anyway zinchenko can only be named for knock out matches…

Villa have Konza, Mings, Rogers, Elliott and Watkins in their squad. Can't recall any of them playing abroad though happy to be corrected.

Seriously I think you've got the wrong end of the stick here?

You cant have more than 4 association trained player sin your list of 8, not that you can’t have more than 4 in the squad!

No club may have more than 25 players on List A during the season. As a minimum, eight places are reserved exclusively for "locally trained players" and no club may have more than four "association-trained players" listed in these eight places on List A
