I thought the empty stadium worked in our favour yesterday in that the players didn't have the fans on their back when they were struggling a bit in the first half. With no fans then we can sit back and play a game closer to our away game set-up, which has been so successful this season.

Agree 100%.

Not having any fans in the stadium is our 12th man.

I hammered Yates last week (deservedly) but thought he did very well today. Not just his strength and tackling but his passing was much better. He really played it simple and looked for feet-massive improvement. I thought lots played well today as others have said but thought ribeiro had one of his best games for us

It wasn't deservedly he was the main enforcer in a team that hadn't kicked a ball in 3 months and up against a strong central midfield due, we nearly won the game, the reason we didn't was now't to do with Yates and at no stage were we overrun in midfield, same accolades go to Silva who also did a job rather than play his natural game 



The only down side to Yates last week was he was a little sloppy offensively and ballsed up a couple of promising moves

I'm glad Yates had a decent match. He gives 100% and cares about the club but a promotion quality midfielder is a big ask. I feel he's come in for a fair amount of criticism that is really a result of the recruitment if anything rather than him personally. We're relying on our academy for the starting 11 despite numerous signings (Semedo, Silva, Sow, Bostock this year alone in centre mid) who were brought in to deliver that standard.

Was definitely hopeful this would be the case. The lack of need to attack at home should allow us to be much more patient and not allow teams to push up on us the way Hull did for example this year
