Hutch played well........more intent and effort than CHO.
I think he is trying too hard at the moment..........once he is settled in and relaxed he will be a far more effective player.
Needed the pre-season and a decent manger (like one) through the season.
Similar to Sangare who many people said was, yes, a donkey and we need to get rid of him (you know who you are) and now he has come good.
Players are real people, they are affected by all events around them like anyone else.
Confidence breeds better and better performances........we will get there.

- We didn't concede from a set piece against the set piece specialists.
- Taiwo and Netz are well rested for Sunday, Neco got 45 mins off and so did Sangare.
- I thought Anderson had a really strong game and looked like the 100m man for a change (aside from his shooting)
- I thought Hutch had one of his better games (low bar but still), created a few big chances that weren't taken.
- Hopefully Vitor is aware now not to play Morato.
- Another 22 shots created, decent effort really. If we do that in the second leg, we could grab an equaliser and force it to penalties...
Any other suggestions?
To be fair to Ando he did whack one heading top bins until their keeper pulled off a great save in the first half.

Just a little tangent I thought they had some useful players worthy of scouting further if we do that. The kid who's been sub twice with a shirt which bears zero resemblance to his name was definitely one. The keeper also as you mentioned

Im one of them
Said Wood was a donkey, delighted he proved me wrong, literally nobody including probably himself thought he would score 20 last season.
Said Sangare was a donkey. He still is at times but has learned to adapt to the league. His illness first season didn’t help, again delighted he has come good.
They are probably the exceptions though. Do you want to give all of them time? How long? Because we might just find out they only come good in the Championship. We all remember Big Kevin Campbell fondly, the truth was he only actually came good in our promotion year in his 3rd season here, only established himself as a PL player with Everton. Just proves it happens a lot.
This is the problem we spent big money to be competitive this season, its not worked. Managerial chaos hasn’t helped any of them.
So back at you. Should we give managers more time? You were adamant you wanted Dyche out. Yet to be honest our problems this season, particularly scoring goals have been consistent across all 4 managers. Would we have been better off sticking with Ange? Im tempted to say so.

Its a difficult one..........Ange no. What happened next was the problem.
Had we appointed Vitor after Ange I dont think we would be in this position now. Ultimately the wrong appointments have created the mess, as well as the incorrect recreuitment strategy, we should have purchased a couple of decent proven players and not all talent for the future.

Jesus is doing ok - he will be better next season - I think Dyche stopped his growth this season and knocked his confidence.
Hutch - best of the bunch, shows lot of potential although naive at times - should come good next season.
Bakwa - worst of the lot, will need some serious coaching to get him on track - or we offload.
Ndoye - not so much the attacking threat we need, needs coaching - or we offload.
Cunha - looks good and settling well.
As per those examples, they are all players who will improve - but we needed real proven ability now. We did have it with Luiz but again, Dyche messed him up and now he performs well for Villa.
There was a rumour that EM wanted Vitor after Ange but was persiuaded to go for Dyche.........shame really, Vitor at that time would have been a totally different story.

It’s off topic but Sangare ‘coming good’ might be a blessing in disguise.
He’s been fantastic this season but, as with a couple of our squad, has a vital flaw in that he still lacks a yard of pace.
If we stay up and need to make a big money sale, maybe we can sell him instead of Anderson MGW and Murillo. Add in a few more sales eg Morato (we turned down £15m in January apparently) one of the wingers and Kalimuendo, and we might just be able to balance the books and keep the foundations for a positive rebuild in the summer.

This is classic. Blinded by your dislike of Dyche you think that hiring a manager who had no wins in 14 PL games on the back of Ange terrible run would have been the better choice.
Think we'll have to disagree on that one.

A few issues with that.
For a start Postecoglu was sacked 18th October. Pereira wasnt sacked at Wolves until 2nd November. Im not sure the fans or EM would have accepted him then anyway given he had just delivered 2 points from 10 games. Be real we ended up with Vitor because there was no alternative.
Facts
Nuno, Ange, Pereira combined Played 11 points 6 ppg 0.54
Dyche played 17 points 22 ppg 1.29
There are multiple problems, my opinion is that the chopping and changing is one of them. Dyche wasn’t the problem and I don’t care if our little darlings don’t like running because it messes up their face cream.

There is no one person responsible.
I am getting a bit fed up with this Edu is to blame or Dyche was not the problem etc.
Everyone as a collective needs to take some responsibility.
EM, Edu, Nuno, Ange, Dyche, Vitor and the players.
They are all in it and have all played their part in where we currently find ourselves.

Actually the only person really to blame right now is EM
