Sacking Warburton who was sending us into a relegation battle after only escaping on the last day of the season before?
Karanka walked out we didn't sack hm.
Actions that were naive:
Expecting warburton to land promotion with Daryl Murphy and Barry McKay
Not backing him in January, then sacking him mid season. (Warburton wasnt great but we werent going down)
Splashing a record fee on an a young player, Putting faith in Mendes to deliver but only taking his unproven players.
Destabilising a proven manager in Karanka, he walked for a reason.
Expecting O Neill would dance to their tune, he was never going to.
None of this is saying our owners are poor, dont care, dont invest in the club, I know they want to succeed. Its the assumption that the model that worked in Greece will work here that is wrong. Hiring and firing doesnt work in my opinion.
