I find some of the reactions surprising and lacking perspective.

Players have bad games and managers make mistakes; that happens at every club, not just ours.

We look a far better team away than we do at home, and it has been that way all season.

We have a limited squad, which is paper thin in some areas, who have performed way above most peoples expectations this season.

The manager has been here just over 5 months, Modesti around a year and Anigo considerably less; on top of that we have a good few new players and others playing in new positions.

When you take all of that into account, being in the top 6 at this stage of the season is a remarkable achievement.

We have money to spend next month and it looks like we will be spending it; if next months acquisitions are as good, or better than those in the Summer, we are set for a good end to the season.

The two teams pulling away at the top have at lease 12 months start on us in terms of building a team, so it should come as no surprise they are doing well.

That should not detract from the fact that we are doing very well.

Trouble is mate unless everyone pulls their fingers out, those you mention won't get another 5 months. 

The other perspective is that Daws & Watson will be even older next year, and now's the time to capitalize on their good form, before they need replacing. 

Hopefully Jan should take us to another level, but what was required to take us to another level has been blindingly obvious for several windows now, and the club have failed to address said weak areas.

Hell, we lack pace and who did the club sell? Appiah. So we could spend a shed load of wages training other club's crap kids up like Mir & Muric.

Whatever happens to Lamouchi, and I really hope he is with us for a long time, Modesto and Anigo will be around for a while.

Modesto has been a big favourite of EMs since his playing days, he has gone out of his way to make sure he remained with Olympiakos.
