My particular favourite was the open letter and where we are on that.
I would like to hear the response from the club regarding that open letter and what they plan moving forward. Won’t happen though
You see this is my only real problem with Taylor, I like him I really do, we need someone to hold the club to account, nobody else does, he was the one that shone light on Fawaz, BDs dodgy cousin etc we owe him big time. His work on exposing the child abuse scandals is utterly amazing.
The problem is his obsession with the open letter and broken promises. I get that he feels deceived and he lapped it all up but Im sure there were good intentions at the time. Besides what organisations do not put out PR spin? They all do. His main job is covering Manchester Utd and City. Are you telling me those clubs dont put out PR spin some of which turns out to be crap?
He makes the point about the academy and CAT 1 being behind the game which is correct but why not shout about it now, especially when there is so much local competition. If someone wants to fact check but I think it might have been him when the announcement was made he said he was disappointed we hadnt made a bigger deal about CAT 1. Yes our training ground is still too small and no we haven’t qualified for Europe in 5 years but really I didn’t expect to.
He is right to blow the whistle if he hears about off the field things that dont seem right, the Zoom call, suspicions of interference etc. But he might have still more credibility if he let one or two things go.
The Zoom call?
