The current management ( ownership & coaching staff ) need to grasp the nettle. Ditch the players that are just taking the money ( and there are quite a few going through the motions ) & build properly on what would still be a solid base ( inc the likes of Swan, Mighten, Johnson etc ).
Rome wasn’t built overnight.
Accept the inevitable & start planning for next season - NOW.

Possibly Knockaert but not if Fulham are looking to recoup what they spent.

Sign nobody in January.
Send Knockaert back ( far too expensive ).
Cull the squad down to a manageable number - flesh out by utilising Mighten, Johnson, Swan etc.
Retain Hughton & plan properly.
