Odd  I have not got mine. You would have thought they would have sent them all out together.

Yes. The other 2 people I go with have received one too. Have you checked your spam folder?

A new season begins but rather than crackle and fizz into life this one will slither into view, eager to inform us it will be as exciting as ever but such hyperbole won’t wash with many.

The last 6 months have shown that football simply ain’t all that much without us. (THREAD)

If there’s any good to come out of all this it’s that authorities and clubs should treat fans better and lift us off the bottom of their priorities list.

Fans have remained supportive and loyal throughout Covid despite being barred from games. This should be repaid one day soon.

Clubs have had it bloody hard of late and Championship lifers like Forest have got a perilous task of remaining competitive and looking after supporters welfare.

We should consider that we are demanding signings while also asking the club to refund season cards. Its not easy.

Still, it’s concerning to see fans being effectively asked to gamble with the season card options. Most will surely want to attend but can we all justify leaving money with the club given there is no set date for our return?

October dates are possible but a delay looks likely.

This Option 1 offer is already questionable value but if fans aren’t back by October as indicated hopefully the club can try and offer more back to fans - putting the risk with season card holders doesn’t seem fair.

Some clarification here would be beneficial.

Option 1 also includes what becomes a very expensive I-Follow stream. For lots this is as good as worthless, totally inferior to being at the game. Why is there not an option to remove this and save money?

Season card holders who live together also get multiple costly streams.

Another example of the gamble being taken on by Option 1 fans is we have no idea what the post-Covid City Ground looks like. This isn’t Forest’s call but can we stand, sing, sit socially distanced within our usual groups?

These are not prime issues but some guidance might help.

It also seems strange to not freeze 2021/22 season cards for Option 2 (rolling refund) fans. Refunds may be necessary for a whole host of reasons - it isn’t just football clubs struggling but normal people too.

This seems like a device to further draw fans into Option 1.

As said the Forest hierarchy have faced tough decisions this summer. But they have been backed at every turn by fans including 16,000 who renewed despite growing Covid concerns. These season card options therefore feel lacking, especially given the silence that preceded them.

The offer of a refund is being presented as an obvious solution to dissatisfied people but that is way too simplistic. Fans naturally want to back their club and want to attend games but perhaps can’t justify Option 1 as explained.

Hopefully the club can understand this.

When fans were asked to donate the value of the tickets towards the end of last season it was accompanied by an incredibly well written piece by The Chairman which helped explain the request.

We could assume the same applies but some further reasoning would again be helpful.

It also could be questioned why more wasn’t done to reach out to the wider fanbase to gauge views. Forza are not an official body and therefore don’t expect to be invited but there is a Official Supporters Club and various means to communicate to all fans.

In such a sensitive topic fan groups are not representative enough. Most fans don’t want or need a group to speak for them.

Previously fans applied to be part of a Fans Advisory Board. Not sure what happened to it but it would surely have been useful.

These opinions are FG’s. We don’t represent you and they matter no more or no less than anyone else’s views.

We are all struggling without football but, in our opinion, fans shouldn’t be compromised for being loyal.

As ever our best wishes to the management and players who once again deserve our full support for what promises to be a strange but hopefully rewarding season for them. And we hope everyone out there is doing well. You Reds.

I have copied Forza Garibaldi tweet in full for you, think it is excellent and mirrors my thoughts. We know the club use Forza to guage fan opinion, they would do well to take heed of it on this issue.

Well - in my view anyway - Forza are a much more representative body than the Supporters Trust.

Completely agree TPL.

I hope Marinakis and Co are listening and revisit their stance ASAP.

The EFL have been given the go ahead to run pilot events with a maximum of 1,000 fans attending this weekend.

Don't think it's been published yet which clubs have asked permission to do this.

I havent had any communication from the club yet by email. Not in Junk mail folder either. Anyone else in the same boat?

Is it the same as last year if you choose option 1 that they send you an IFollow code to redeem? They are running out of time.
