1. If he is a lifelong fan why has he been hiding until now?
2. If he needs help to do the deal who from?
3. If he is going it alone his total worth is apparently around £290m. A lot for you and me but in the football world not so much. £50m gone just to buy the club then it will lose probably around £20m a year minimum unless he can get to the PL. So by my calculations he will run out of money to put in pretty quickly?

Yes fair point. Even if he does it for 2 years it gives them some breathing space and he can look to sell on a club in a much healthier position. Good luck if thats the case but jeez what a way to spend a lifetimes savings.

People that wealthy also have access to a lot of other cash from people they know, banks, funds, blah blah blah. I would have thought it's quite rare that wealthy club owners actually commit much of their own money, they get very good at spending other peoples!

They don't need to be having dodgy investors here there and everywhere they just need a steady hand to steer them through this current period. This guy can probably get them stabilised financially and in mid table in L1 next season and then challenging the season after. They can build from there. But if they do eventually get promoted using that sensible model, challenging in the Championship is a different matter and will need a lot of money. More money than this guy has at his disposal I suspect. That's the point he'll pass it over to someone else.

This guy has been shrewd enough to realise that owning the stadium is the key to all of this. It takes Morris/MSD out of the equation. While it seems the others have been dealing with the Admins & the EFL and bitching about them, this guy, being a property developer, has realised that the stadium ownership issue is a key input to any deal and without that all the other deals to buy the club fall by the wayside. I suspect that Ashley also realised that but he couldn't get Morris to deal with him for whatever reason.
