Can blame the owners for that, not getting rid of Sabri earlier. We all said (well I did) needed to be done well before last international break

I thought we were all in agreement that we needed to stop sacking managers and that we needed some stability?

Problem is Sniff, if Managers aren't getting results after spending large wads of money on players and we start dropping down the league, when does the owner say enough is enough. Does the owner allow things to deteriorate to the point where we end up getting relegated, just in case the manager manages to turn things around and to maintain stability or does he pull the trigger?

I was a massive fan of Sabri's and I did not want him to be sacked, because I felt the club needed some stability and the club had invested heavily to strengthen the side to Sabri's wishes. But, since Sabri has been sacked, my thoughts have now turned around slightly, and I can see that if we had held on to Sabri, then we could have already been overtaken by Sheff Wednesday and could have been in one hell of a relegation battle.

It comes back down to the question you asked on your thread earlier in the week really, what do NFFC have to do to win promotion as we have tried everything to no avail? Do we stick with a manager when we are in free fall or do we yet again sack the guy and move on to the next victim, i mean option? For now, it seems to be a conundrum that does not have an answer

We 100% have to stick with Chris for a minimum of this season and next.

We ain’t getting a better manager than him, and he will sort us out.

He has a great track record and already has a nucleus in place who can get us to where we want.

Samba, Worrall, McKenna, Lolley, Grabban, Taylor, Arter are a very good nucleus we can build around

Should you add Yates to that nucleus of players Red?

Certainly as a ‘clubman’

Yes 100%

He is a player who will keep improving as his mentality is second to none, and physically he is excellent.

His technical side will improve as he plays more games, I think it ps clear to see the improvement already from last season.

Very popular also around the dressing room and he is an ‘energiser’.

Some players can sap the energy from a dressing room, Yates is a player that managers love, very much in the Osborn mould.

i wonder if Forest's style might involve us being very classy with some great goals, higher scoring games and more definitive swings into purple patches, maybe more scenarios where we kill the game with 3 goals in 10 minutes type thing, it hasn't happened for a long long time

i'm wondering if choosing the moments to really raise the tempo and go through the gears might be more the way as opposed to the attritional working hard and closing down everything they do for 90 minutes we have been used to

anyway this is my prediction for Wycombe, ideally come out of the blocks quick or at some stage after riding our luck for a while it all clicks and hit the level of skill and tempo ... we haven't seen for a long time .. and come away with an easy win where we all have plenty to criticise and say 'it could of been better' but the class moments where the game is won in 10 or 15 decisive minutes is probably the way i think we might need to go

basically a team that can be lazy and even error prone but show some awesome moments and class

suits the extremist in me for sure

Except a number of players will be missing - on international duty.
Add to that those that are injured - and 7 or 8 won’t benefit.

It won't do us any harm though to have a break from the action. Hopefully we'll be close to a fully fit squad too after the break.

Surely we should be better suited to fixture congestion than most others? Obviously be optimised benefit when the players have got fitter and more integrated with each other, then surely the more fixtures, the thicker and faster the better?
