Nottingham Forest - Luton Town
A win against Reading gives us a platform to draw against Brentford and West Brom and still be in the mix.

5 points from 9 would be ok, not great for a team who might actually be in with a chance for a top two finish but not terrible either given the opposition.

What a time to kick into gear. Well done Joe, good to have you back.

Very happy with the 3 points after a concerning start . Hopefully the new winger can do a good job for us.

Adomah just hasn't the pace anymore to beat a man

I thought he was very poor, Ameobi gets some stick for his languid style but he’s not played as bad as that in any game this season.

The only game he he has played well when starting was derby in the cup.

I expected a bit more from Adomah and he did get slightly better but he could hardly have got any worse. I thought Luton were unfit. They pressed brilliantly until they scored and then sat off and couldn’t get the press going again. Watson started to dictate things hence the improved performance. Ameobi played well too and as an impact sub he still has a place. Good to see lolley back and on form. Hope villa weren’t watching today

Don’t slate me, only saying what I think, but I’ll take the 3 points.
Agree ... result materialised more due to how poor Luton played in the second half...
And how well Lolley and Watson played 2nd half maybe?  We are bang on top of form table at a crucial time. This league is a slog, no easy games. Today was all about the result. We got it.

Luton made a couple of few crosses into the box early doors - luckily we only conceded one. They were very "combative" but unlike Leeds` could not sustain that for long and then we began to break them down. How we didn`t get 2 or 3 more I don`t know but credit to Watson, Sow and Silva today for picking up ownership of midfield and obviously JL for a couple of lovely runs and goals. Sorry to say Uncle Albert is at best impact sub and Grabb`s was unusually quiet against Bernard in defence but still did some great control hold up play at time. Think Dawson looked a tad rusty at times but improved as game went on. We desperately need some pace up front so hoping this new winger can help out and hit the ground running.

Luton came out at 100 mph and were never going to be able to keep going all game. There plan worked and they got the goal.
However, they are not at bottom for no reason and their keeper should have done much better with Lolley's 1st. In the end we could have easily scored a few more.

Need to work on some composure and a plan when teams are pressing us hard, as we are not far from being able to deal with it.

Impressed with Sabri's decision to play an almost full strength side against bottom of league with some tough fixtures coming.

Who is that chewing gum with his mouth open at the front? Deary me.

Animated bench. Good to see Yates put his arm around Car' when Forest scored.

Like the way The Coach put his 'bro' hand out to each player on the bench. Nice tough. And perhaps a sign of the closeness of the squad.

SA.
