Where To Sit? - Username - 01-09-2019
I have been a season ticket holder now for 27 consecutive seasons, 15 of which in the Main Stand and, with the developments happening next season, me and the two friends I go with are beginning to contemplate where we will sit next year.
If you have a season ticket the Club allow you to move seats for a number of games so yesterday we took the opportunity to sit elsewhere and moved to Block U1 in the Bridgford Upper. Having sat in my usual seat for so long it was a strange experience, particularly getting used to the view, but it’s quite a good place to sit, the atmosphere was excellent and the facilities are like a Michelin star restaurant compared to what’s on offer in the Main Stand (six bars, TVs, easy to get for a p*ss but no betting facilities?).
We’re planning on giving the Trent Upper a go next.
Anyway the point of the thread is where do you sit and how does it rate? And would you recommend it as an option until the new Main Stand is built?

Unhelpfully for this I’m in A block although will be in the same position as you next year so interested to hear the consensus.
However I would also say my first season ticket was in Lower Bridgeford. There were 3 of us, me my dad and brother. However we were not popular! We’d unwittingly taken the seats of a few people that had been sitting there for years apparently and within a big group. They weren’t the friendliest, got to the point where we actually chose to move our seats to A block around three quarters of the way through the season. Which is where’d we always sat before we got season tickets. There were a group in front of us that moved also, who repeatedly argued with this group. I guess maybe they thought we were together.
As for the other aspects, view was average too low down, atmosphere varied wildly sometimes really good other times very quiet, much cheaper though! Trying not to be too biased, you can end up next to a dickhead anywhere in the ground.

My season ticket is in the A Block too.
We figure that the scramble to move in the Summer will be pretty crazy.
I’ve found the Lower Bridgford to be full of dickheads, the view ain’t that great and the atmosphere is poor. We’ve decided against BC Lower due to it being uncovered.
Any thoughts yet where you’ll go?

We used to sit in Brian clough upper near the corner when I was younger. Was sat there when we lost to Plymouth to effectively confirm our relegation. Never seems that busy there now but I liked it there. Decent view and near away fans, P block I think so probably not far from where you were yesterday.
Will depend on availability I guess too though, will take what we can get!

TE upper for me for 20 years now. I like it there but the atmosphere really isnt great and with a few exceptions never has been anything like the old terrace. I always like being behind the goal we are attacking 2nd half though, you cant beat seeing a last minute winner right in front of you.

Having sat in all the stands over the years, my fave has always been the upper Bridgeford. Nice blend of everything.
Longest I stayed in one place was Upper Trent, simply coz the chaps I were going to games with at the time all sat there. Once Pearce went and they ragged in it lost a lot of it's draw (one of the lads in particular was one of the mardiest, vocally abusive fans I've known, and that just made bad matches easier to bare with coz it was funny to watch him blow a fuse every week)

Which block of Upper Bridgford?
I had a season ticket there whilst we were in League One, the guy to my immediate left moaned from the first misplaced pass and the woman to our right used to have the most high pitched voice, shouting “C’mon Krissy” at the top of her voice, one of the most grating experiences of my whole life.

I spent about four seasons there, we were dead centre of the upper tier, terrible atmosphere though. It’s a bit embarrassing really.

I’ve been TE upper since it was built. Must say this season atmosphere is getting better. The fans we sit near have been there a long time also. We have a laugh most games so I really enjoy sitting there, also as some one else mentioned I love being that end in the second half.

Yeah the idea of shooting towards us is tempting, not sure I could give up atmosphere although with A block gone it’ll be a bit scattered

The atmosphere in Bridgford Upper yesterday was excellent, although they are having the stand up/sit down battle with the stewards gets on my nerves.
