Next 2 And A Bit Weeks & The Sheep Game - Paplane - 14-08-2019 Brum H Saturday Charlton A Wednesday Fulham A Saturday Sheep H Tuesday Preston H Saturday. What a run of fixtures that is! Clearly all the players are going to get some game time between now and the international break. The question for me is, does Sabri risk a full strength side against the sheep? I say yes, let's go for them. But look at their fixtures in the period! Will they risk their best against us? Stoke A Sat, Bristol H Tues, West Brom H Sat, Us A Tuesday, Brentford A Sat. RE: Next 2 and a bit weeks and the sheep game - Username - 14-08-2019 Be happy if we could take six points from the next two games first, hopefully that is the aim. RE: Next 2 And A Bit Weeks & The Sheep Game - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 14-08-2019 Brum H Saturday Charlton A Wednesday Fulham A Saturday Sheep H Tuesday Preston H Saturday I can see us winning four and drawing one of those 5 games. Lets get some optimism running through the club. I cant see it though, not because we're not good enough, but because the league is so unpredictable. RE: Next 2 And A Bit Weeks & The Sheep Game - Salvatore Matrecano - 14-08-2019 Before we get ahead of ourselves we need to stop playing like a team of strangers, start dominating games and making scoring chances. We are creating next to nothing going forwards from what I have seen so far, do that and the results will come eventually. Neither club will want to lose because they know what it means to the fans. Almost the reverse of Montys early days. If Silva and Lolley can get going then creativity should improve, especially once Carvalho joins the fray. We need to keep the ball better and improve decision making in attacking third if we want to be more creative - sounds easy if you say if quickly.... Not getting ahead of myslef, just trying to create some optimism and positive thinking around the place. Ball retention was seriously lacking I thought against Leeds and that caused problems with the ball coming back all the time. It came down to a lack of composure and as someone pointed out on here, possibly Watson's lack of mobility. The Ameobi outlet and Sow's composure in tight situations made a world of difference when they came on. RE: Next 2 And A Bit Weeks & The Sheep Game - Username - 14-08-2019 I hope we respect Preston at home a lot more than we did last year. Fulham replace one of the promoted teams where we managed a point at best away. Charlton replace the relegated teams where we won one, drew one and lost one away. So anything better than 4 points from these games would easily be an improvement on last season: Brum H Saturday Charlton A Wednesday Fulham A Saturday Preston H Saturday *Technically we are already 1 point down from last season after the WBA and Leeds games. |
