RE: The 2019 Summer Clearout - ThePromisedLand - 06-08-2019 With our surfeit of second rate players we’re planning on becoming the lower league equivalent of the Chelsea loan business. They’re the Rolls Royce dealership of Mayfair offering exclusive young superstars of tomorrow. We’re the used car dealership in Bulwell offering high mileage players who come with health warnings & likely to break down at any time. RE: The 2019 Summer Clearout - Kylos247 - 06-08-2019 Haha tpl that tickled me. RE: The 2019 Summer Clearout - Jasper Scarrott - 07-08-2019 Not much movement on getting rid of all the dross  RE: The 2019 Summer Clearout - Username - 07-08-2019 Sounds like Steele may go to Millwall, they definitely need a keeper with Fielding being injured. RE: The 2019 Summer Clearout - Salvatore Matrecano - 07-08-2019 Just to remind people we have until 2nd September to offload to Europe and L1/L2. Gueddy and Pants I suspect will go abroad. Whether even an L2 club will want some of the crap that we have accumulated is debatable. RE: The 2019 Summer Clearout - Fumanchew - 07-08-2019 I still have a suspicion that the cash injection we got is to pay off as many of the fringe we can before all the windows close if they haven’t moved on RE: The 2019 Summer Clearout - BadDog - 08-08-2019 Nicked off twitter but when all that's happened puts things in perspective, we would have 21 senior pros (not including kids) (I dont agree with Yates loan he will be back in) Darikwa out the season so thats 20. Brice, Chema, Bostock takes us to 23 and a striker to come? 24. Not that daft now is it? RE: The 2019 Summer Clearout - HykehamRed - 08-08-2019 Can’t see how we will manage to offload 8/10 of our crap players? Our wage bill is crippling. You can’t expect a league 1/2 club to pay all the wages of Murphy Clough Cummings Bridcutt etc? And even if we do move all of these on we will still have an unbalanced squad of 6 central defenders and 2 forwards. Suspect we will look to loan Mighten , Richardson & Edser too by the way. Maybe Johnson could stick around, Carvalho’s backup? RE: The 2019 Summer Clearout - Mcforest - 08-08-2019 we need to move out 2x GK 2x Centre-back - if we are indeed bringing in the left side CB as rumoured 4x Centre-Midfielders 1x Winger 2x Strikers It just looks like a impossible job. At least most of them are out of contract come the end of this season i guess. RE: The 2019 Summer Clearout - Mcforest - 08-08-2019 1 Brice Samba .Goalkeeper 2 Arijanet Murić Goalkeeper 3 Costel Pantilimon Goalkeeper – Expected to leave 4 Jordan Smith Goalkeeper 5 Luke Steele Goalkeeper- Expected to leave 6 Joe Worrall Centre-Back 7 Tobias Figueiredo Centre-Back 8 Alexander Milosevic Centre-Back 9 Yohan Benalouane Centre-Back 10 Michael Hefele Centre-Back – Expected to leave 11 Michael Dawson Centre-Back 12 Jack Robinson Left-Back 13 Yuri Ribeiro Left-Back 14 Carl Jenkinson Right-Back 15 Matty Cash Right-back 16 Tendayi Darikwa Right-Back – Injured (possible out for season) 17 Alfa Semedo Defensive Midfield 18 Samba Sow Defensive Midfield 19 Claudio Yacob Defensive Midfield – Expected to leave 20 Liam Bridcutt Defensive Midfield – Expected to leave 21 Ben Watson Defensive Midfield 22 Adlène Guédioura Central Midfield – Expected to leave 23 Ryan Yates Central Midfield - Injured 24 Zach Clough Central Midfield – Expected to leave 25 João Carvalho Attacking Midfield 26 Tiago Silva Attacking Midfield 27 Brennan Johnson Attacking Midfield 28 Joe Lolley Winger 29 Gboly Ariyibi Winger – Expected to leave 30 Arvin Appiah Winger 31 Albert Adomah Winger 32 Sammy Ameobi Winger 33 Lewis Grabban Centre-Forward 34 Rafa Mir Centre-Forward 35 Daryl Murphy Centre-Forward – To leave 36 Jason Cummings Centre-Forward – To leave SL suggested he wanted a squad that had 3x GK 2x DR 2xDL 5xDC 3x DMC 4x MC/AMC 4x Winger 3x CF Total Wanted 26 Current squad 36 Currently it looks like we could be about to bring in a new CB, 2x DMC and a striker Brings squad to 40 GK – 5 currently in the squad with 2 to leave, we hope. So will be down to 3 which is what SL wanted check. CB – 6 currently in the squad with a maximum of 5 wanted. The team is only just over stocked on this right now as Hefele is injured and I would guess can’t be moved one until he is fit. However with a new CB sounding like they are coming in, the question is who else goes? I had though Benaloune might have moved on, but with just signing a new contract that is unlikely so it’s going to be either Figs, Worrall or Milosevic. It’s the final year for Dawson who will play a bit part role I would have expected. LB we are good number wise RB we are good as Darikwa is out and Carl Jenkinson is an good player brought in to make sure we are well stocked in case of another injury DMC – 5 currently in the squad SL wanted 2 or 3 for cover this one specialised position as it really is pivotal to the way he wants us to play. 2 expected to go and two expect to come in and if it’s Bostock and Colback as it sounds like I don’t see Sow or Semedo getting much if any game time. Semedo maybe moved to MC role? Watson has performed well so far but I expect him to play a bit part role in his final year and used to help bring players on. Going to have too many players for this position and I would say that if we sign Colback the others are also going to play bit part roles and have more chance of getting in the MC/AMC roles. MC/AMC – 6 Players fighting it out for 2 spots in the starting 11 is far too many and ideally you want to bring it down to 4 as you also have cover from DMC spares if required. two to leaving brings us to an acceptable level number wise however the quality is another matter looks like chances created are going to be to be at premium. Wingers – 5 wingers in the squad with one expected to leave gives us the 4 SL wanted to have in the squad. We have one excellent winger, one with potential, two we picked up for free and there is a reason for that and one who I’m still struggling to see why he was signed. This really sums up why we won’t go up. Service from the wings looks like it’s going to be from one man and one man alone. CF – 4 strikers classed as first team with two expected to leave, so room for one more to come in. Grabban is the main man if we play to his strengths and will score goals but looking at the way we played so far you would have to question if we will get him the service he needs. Mir on the other hand looks like he will do the hard work required for the team but I question if he is a goal scorer striker. If only we could merge the two together and bam best striker in the league. With a new striker’s arrival rumoured and two leaving we get the 3 SL wants for one starting place. So all in all we have managed to bring lots of players to fill holes but as a squad we are very bloated and paying high wages on at least 10 players who should not be here. |
